this is one of my many favorites of his, because it just sounds so good. He didn't make too many love songs, and the ones he did are gems, so I don't see the problem with that. |

This is a very nice song, though extremely short. I love the dramatic touches on "fall" and "know". beautiful. I think this song may be about time in that words can't change the past and it can't be explained, and it's always fleeting. |

I think it's about how people lose their childhood innocence and freedom as they get older and work, and they're so busy they don't even remember what it was like. I don't know what "morning songbird" is supposed to represent, but it's song is a reminder of those times. "We'll soon remember if you do When all things were tall And our friends were small And the world was new" Also in the third verse it touches on how we can work hard all our life and resist temptations, but eventually our time will run out and we won't have made use of our time, maybe to just play. |
