| While the album version is rather mysterious as to who this temporary sister might be, the Grand Union Mix on the blu ray bonus material has additional spoken word lyrics that reveal she was indeed a foster sister who was re-housed. | |

First up, what a beautiful song! Can confirm the lyric is "and for you and sorrow", as written in the booklet that comes with the album. Not sure what this means though... For the song generally I think this is a letter, mostly because of the "so I'll finish this tomorrow", not sure how else that would make sense. I think perhaps this is an unfinished letter the protagonist of the album started writing before she died and was subsequently only discovered much later. Perhaps written to her literal brother. For background, Steven has stated that the album concept in general is based on the story of Joyce Carol Vincent, a young woman who lived in isolation such that when she died in her apartment the body was not discovered for three years. |

Alright i'll chime in first with the obvious answer - it's about drugs. I might have said too obvious but lines like "do you feel sick from the pin prick" seem too clear. Unless of course it's all a big metaphor or some such thing. Great song too, love the main hook. Sounds like harpsichord or something. |

| nice idea, Lithiumking420, but (at least in my opinion) take a bow is actually the perfect OPENER, and i'm fairly sure they open with it more often than they close (they opened with it when i saw them). | |

i agree with you mostly, amypowers. with one or two exceptions "now when she tells she's going to get it" "i'm guessing that she'd rather just forget it" yes, "get it" refers to sex but the next line isn't sarcastic, it's just saying that the sex is boring now so she'd "rather just forget it". Other parts i'm just not so sure about. But you've got the general idea. |

At the risk of sounding arrogant YOU ARE ALL WRONG! Bare with me - i have evidence! Matt stated in an interview that this song is NOT about our leaders Bush/Blair or whatever. Rather, it is about the "puppet masters" - the people behind our leaders. the "globalists". He mentions MI6, FBI, CIA, NSA. these corporations check out the interview for youself here: http://microcuts.2dlb.com/xfm/Take%20A%20Bow-Starlight.mp3 Gabriel88, YOU are the idiot. This song may not be about Bush or Blair but it (and the whole album) is chock full of politics. |
