| The Sundays – Can't Be Sure Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
There are some things that we cannot change (for example, England’s weather, and humans relying on their own desires), so there is no point in complaining. We should just live life as it comes. “Though I can’t be sure what I want anymore, it will come to me later.” This song also reminds me to live simply. “Give me a story and give me a bed.” By the way, the line that reads, “It's good to have something to live for your point” should say “It’s good to have something to live for, you’ll find.” |

| A Camp – Frequent Flyer Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I think Nina Persson wrote these lyrics about her and her husband Nathan Larson. She is Swedish, he is American, and they live together in both Sweden and New York City. As a result, they have to fly frequently back and forth between homes. By the way, I think the second line is “I might be leaving.” And yes, the “no…” is notorious liar. |

| Trivia: Magnus Sveningson wrote this song about a girl named Cecilia. | |
| The Cardigans – Over the Water Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| another classic Cardies song with dreamy lyrics. | |
| The Cardigans – Daddy's Car Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Song from the early, classic Cardigans days. This is the perfect escaping song written before the Cardigans became serious and their songs became steeped in deep, dark, ironic lyrics. (not that i don't enjoy their lyrics now.) | |
| The Cardigans – Communication Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song was the first track on "Long Gone Before Daylight," which was the first album in five years since "Gran Turismo." This fact really convinces me even more that this song is indeed about the band breaking up. But it's probably mixed with other things too. | |

To me, this is about The Cardigans breaking up after "Gran Turismo." "[I]t became 'something a bit unnatural' to be 25 years old and spend 24 hours a day with four people of the opposite sex that she neither was related to or was romantically involved with. She moved to the U.S. and made a solo-career." --source:http://www.cardigans.com/?sid=article&pid=read&id=3941 |

| The Cardigans – You're The Storm Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This is definitely a song about the American war in the Middle East--from a Swede's point of view. Don't you see all the war terms? I guess it could be about love or sex too, but there is DEFINITELY a war theme going on here. It's all over the song, people! | |
| The Cardigans – Godspell Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
^Ditto. I also believe the title is a play on the word Gospel. In a sense, she is saying that religion (and in a sense, God himself) is putting a spell on people to make them act crazy. A lot of blood has been shed in the name of religion. But the song is ironic because she says she's waiting even though she sees all these things wrong with religion. It's like she sees no other option. So she just takes her place in line and waits. |

| The Cardigans – And Then You Kissed Me Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Domestic violence is clearly a theme in this song. It's about how women feel trapped in these relationships. That's why domestic violence is so prevalent. This song reminds me of Stella Kowalski in "A Streetcar Named Desire." Her husband Stanley abused her, but then she kept going back to him, because he was this hunky, very sexual animal man that she was attracted to. And that's all their relationship was--sexual and animalistic. That's what I think "And Then You Kissed Me" is about. ...but as always, it's open to interpretation. | |
| Eisley – My Lovely Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| What can someone say about this song? It's pretty self explanatory, don't you think? Doesn't leave much room for interpretation... But that doesn't mean i don't like it. It's a lovely song! | |
| The Cardigans – You're The Storm Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Yes, I agree that it's about love, but it's also very political, don't you think? That's how some countries are. For some reason, they get bored like hell with peace, so they start wars. | |

Those lyrics above are wrong. Here are the real lyrics from the Cardigans' official website: oh it's healing - bang bang bang I can hear your cannons call you've been aiming at my land your hungry hammer is falling and if you want me I'm your country I'm an angel bored like hell and you're a devil meaning well you steal my lines and you strike me dumb come raise your flag upon me and if you want me I'm your country if you win me I'm forever - oh yeah! 'cause you're the storm that I've been needing and all this peace has been deceiving I like the sweet life and the silence but it's the storm that I believe in come and conquer and drop your bombs cross my borders and kill the calm bear your fangs and burn my wings I hear bullets singing and if you want me I'm your country if you win me I'm forever - oh yeah! 'cause you're the storm that I've been needing and all this peace has been deceiving I need some wind to get me sailing so it's the storm that I believe in you fill my heart, you keep me breathing 'cause you're the storm that I believe in and if you want me I'm your country |

| Eisley – Marvelous Things Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Seems to me, there's a bit of a dark element in this song... Like the bat... but then it has butterfly wings, beautiful butterfly wings. Then there's the dark night, but the morning light will burst bright. So to me, it's kinda like there's always that bad element, but the goodness and wonder in life makes up for it, and we'll all be alright. Eisley rocks \m/ | |
