I love this song...though the version I always listen to is from the "Who Are You" album (not on the original release, I believe), you can still tell it's Pete singing. Great song, I could listen to it over and over! |

Fell in love with this song the first time I listened to Sell Out (unlike many Who songs which seem to be an aquired taste).
I believe it's about some groupie girl who is totally infatuated with a music group and they mean the world to her, but somewhere along the line she meets the group and they let her down by being not who she thought. |

I think it's the first song at "Live at Leeds".
I love this song a lot too. I'm not sure what album the studio version is on, and I don't know if I've ever even heard a studio version. |

I like this song a lot too. Was Odorono a real deodorant back in the day? |

One of my favorites on Sell Out...pretty trippy indeed...
but why are they speaking of Armenia, a country in the middle east?
That is the question. |

I love this part:
"Sickness will surely take the mind
Where minds can't usually go.
Come on the amazing journey
And learn all you should know"
Fantastic song! |

I always thought this song to be about some kind of Voodoo hooker that was thought by Tommy's parents to be able to cure him with sex/drugs or sex and drugs combined...not sure though. |

This song is about a cloned human that was implanted with memories of his childhood as opposed to having a childhood of his own. He was created to serve some specific purpose, but outside of his assigned purpose he can't help feeling empty and as though "something is missing". He knows though that at least at the end of his life his soul will be free from his manufactured existence.
Great song! |

Wow, interesting. It seems 90% of all Who songs are about Townsend in some way or another.
Great Song, Great Album! |

From ZED_pt"
"DRAMAGALO3 was the only one catching the meanings of this song...she used "alice in wonderland" to explain acid trips.
Acid trips are all about our own mind and subconscious, normally we can control it but under acids, mushrooms,LSD,exctasy, etc. you cant control those emotions and you are driven by them.
this song its not a "dont do drugs" or "do drugs" song, its just actual facts about an acid trip.
Its almost impossible for those that never experienced Acids to understand it,i dont advise you to stick an acid under your tongue but,go search in the net "How acids work in your head" or something like that and maybe you start to understand better this song."
Um, Acid and LSD are the same thing, and you put it ON your tounge, not under...it's not a thermometer. |

I love the way Davies' voice sounds in this song. It greatly contributes to the mood of the song.

I think even though the song is about Paranoia, it also has a lot to do with depression and how depression can hold you back from doing things you want to do. |

This song is pretty self explanatory...
One of my favorite Kinks songs, and one of the few songs that can bring a tear to my eye...especially the part about Marilyn Monroe.
Beautiful song. |
