Regina Spektor – Laughing With Lyrics | 11 years ago |
You're misunderstanding the song. I'm a Christian, I get it, but she's actually defending God. |
Taking Back Sunday – Sink Into Me Lyrics | 15 years ago |
This song is perfect. I can't wait for the new album. |
Paramore – I Caught Myself Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I agree with hobomclacey - but, overall, its really stunning. |
Paramore – Decode Lyrics | 15 years ago |
The whole overall song sounds really good - the music is tight and well-executed; the vocals are amazing and more mature. Then again, I'm not all, "HOLYSHIT!" about it either. I don't know. Maybe it'll grow on me or something. |
Demi Lovato – Get Back Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Demi Lovato is so much more talented than Miley Cyrus. This song is nothing new lyric-wise, but her voice makes it worth it. I would definitely buy her CD. |
Paramore – Let the Flames Begin (with Oh Father ending) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
LizzieBear, their God might be nonexistent to you, but its not nonexistent to them. Obviously, they notice and believe in something we fail to see that makes them glad to be alive. I don't know if I can speak for you, but, every time I see this, I think to myself, "What am I missing?" Anyway, all the new outros are beautiful for their songs. Their lyrics are always honest and amazing. This definitely is my favorite song on RIOT! |
Jonas Brothers – Lovebug Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Corny and cliche, but still cute. That's the Jonas Brothers for you. |
The Classic Crime – 5805 Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I love this song. It could be a date, like The Spill Canvas' song. It could be like 5/8/05. Its about being young and being alive. |
Miley Cyrus – 7 Things Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I'm not a huge fan of Miley Cyrus, but she did a damn good job on this song. She sounds more grown up, less Hannah Montanna. If the rest of her record is like this, I may just buy it. Hell, the song is relatable. Who doesn't want to write or listen to a song about things you hate involving a bitchy ex? I sure do. |
Cute Is What We Aim For – Practice Makes Perfect Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Its an okay song, but you can sort of already tell that their new album is going to be extremely repetitive. |
Cute Is What We Aim For – Doctor Lyrics | 16 years ago |
You've got to give 'em credit. They're trying real damn hard. Shaant's voice sounds so much better. It sounds much more mature and less... annoying as hell. Its pretty obvious as to what its about :]. |
Future of Forestry – If You Find Her Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This is a beautiful song. I highly doubt its about God in any way, shape, or form. It sounds more like a romance between two people, like JeffreyBrian said. |
Justice – Tthhee Ppaarrttyy Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I love it. Uffie and Justice? Wow, that is definitely one hell of a mix. Ultimate party song. |
Panic! at the Disco – Do You Know What I'm Seeing Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I really love this song, and their new style. It gives them a more mature and appealing air. I love all of their new lyrics, too. They're stronger than the last album's. Can't wait for Pretty. Odd. |
Taylor Swift – Teardrops on My Guitar Lyrics | 16 years ago |
My friend had suggested this song to me a while ago saying that this totally described my situation, but I passed it by because, quite frankly, she says that about every song. But, anyway, what was really scary when I heard this tonight was that the guy that this whole situation is occuring with - his name is, well, Drew. It freaked me the fuck out. Anyway, it's basically the whole good friend likes other guy friend who has a girlfriend sort of situation. Amazing song. Taylor Swift always has stunning dresses in her videos, especially in this one. |
Paramore – My Heart (Live Whoa Version) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song was amazing. It was from the concert on FBR+. If you want to download this song, you can download it here on this fan site: http://paramore.org/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=30 |
OneRepublic – Say (All I Need) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song is beautiful. I have no idea what it's about, but it's beautiful. |
Sullivan – Fire Away Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I love this song. You can download it for free on their Myspace :]. I can't believe Sullivan is breaking up. I'm going to miss them terribly :[. |
My Chemical Romance – Kill All Your Friends Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I think it talks about how hypocritical, fake, and low most people really are. The "Kill All You Friends" deal (and the chorus), to me, is basically saying that it's sad that someone has to die before we actually notice, respect, and love them. Some people act like they were best friends of the person who died at funerals when, in reality, they probably had so much shit with them or just ignored them. Brilliant song. |
Emery – Story About A Man With A Bad Heart Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Instead of "Because I take control of this person behind my hands." I believe it really is "Because I CAN'T control this person behind my hands." Amazing song, nonetheless. :] I love the whole theme to Emery's new album. |
Emery – Don't Bore Us, Get to the Chorus Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I agree with gingerr. I love this song; definitly makes it in my Top 5 favorites from this album. The "Never gonna go away," party sounds sort of... trippy, partially freaky. Very dark for Emery, but sort of cool. |
Shiny Toy Guns – Starts With One Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I believe it's about anything that can be addictive - drugs, sex, greed, lust, self-harm, etc. - and the complexity of wanting to get out of it, and, yet, at the same time, wanting to stay in it. Gorgeous song. I have fallen in love with their voices =]. |
Shiny Toy Guns – Waiting Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song is mystifying. BUT, I have absolutely no idea what it's about :]. |
Emery – The Ponytail Parade Lyrics | 16 years ago |
The acoustic version is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. It always makes me cry. I agree with violentpeace's interpetation. I can most definetly relate. |
Emery – Miss Behavin' Lyrics | 16 years ago |
It sounds like a manipulative relationship and wanting to get out of it (trying, really), but you can't (or you won't). Amazing song. |
Panic! at the Disco – Build God, Then We'll Talk Lyrics | 16 years ago |
The meaning was said by everyone, but I agree mostly with s2_infactuation . I just have to say I lost alot of respect for Panic! At The Disco and this song when the music video came out. Hell, shouldn't we all have a bit of decency? Really. Not that anyone cares, of course. |
Something Corporate – As You Sleep Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Oh, and one more thing. Not to be picky about the lyrics or anything, but, I think on the line where it says, "Singing my thoughts back to me, and watching heartache on TV" - I think it's actually "Singing my thoughts back to me, LIKE watching heartache on TV". It sounds like that. Plus, it makes more sense - he's just replaying his last moments with her in his head. |
Something Corporate – As You Sleep Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I adore the ghost interpetation by brick2.0. I never thought of that, ha. I read this book once and, in it, there was this guy who was madly in love with this girl. They rarely ever associated with eachother, though. So, every night, he'd climb up to her bedroom window and watch her as she slept and cherish the moment that he did see her so peaceful and without the burdens of daily life. This song always reminds me of that moment. This is a truly beautiful song, though. I love the piano. |
Tyrone Wells – Falling Lyrics | 16 years ago |
A beautiful song. My definite favorite from him. His voice is so brilliant. And, it's pretty self-explanatory. He's scared of falling in love with her, but he already is. And, he wants to take that chance, but, there's still hesitation. Etc. |
30 Seconds to Mars – The Kill Lyrics | 16 years ago |
samrocksout - Supposedly, 6277 is "Mars" typed out on a telephone keypad [according to Wikipedia]. Good song. Basically everyone has said what it's meant. |
Automatic Loveletter – Hush Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This is an amazing song. I adore her voice. The meaning is rather blunt. It's basically about a relationship that was once "alive", but now the love has gone & it's dead. So, she's ending the whole thing. |
Sherwood – The Only Song Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Amazing song. You can download it free on their myspace [ http://www.myspace.com/sherwood ]. I agree with carefreedude. |
The Beatles – I Want to Hold Your Hand Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Amazingly cute song. The Beatles were better earlier in their career. After they got into drugs & shit, their music went sour. |
Shiny Toy Guns – Le Disko Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I don't think it's about lesbians. I agree with Raven Black. It's just one of those "Fuck the male population. I'm going out tonight" sort of songs. Amazing song. |
My American Heart – There Are More Frightening Things... Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Easily one of my favorite songs on their new cd - along with Boys! Grab Your Guns, of course. To me, it's about someone who tests their limits too much and goes too far and doesn't know the meaning on the word "Stop". They just go on and go on and go on till their 'respect has been sold' and they're 'ready to explode' or, you know, have a breakdown. |
Paramore – Stop This Song (Lovesick Melody) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
mandy9876 - It's one of the bonus tracks on RIOT! when you buy it at Best Buy. Anyway, great song. My favorite from Paramore. And, it's basically about hating to love someone. |
Plain White T's – Radios In Heaven Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Amazing, amazing song. It really hits home for me as well. It makes you think, you know? It makes you think about how short life is with the people you love. RIP Stephanie. |
Anberlin – A Whisper and a Clamor Lyrics | 17 years ago |
It always seemed to me that when he sings the chorus, I sort of look at it as a representation of the hypocrisy in most churches today. For instance, the line that goes: "It's not the lies that you sing, but what the silence screams." It's like.. if you ever went to church, you sing these songs to God, but.. most people may never mean them? You don't understand the words your saying, the things you're pledging - it's just empty crap to you. You're doing it out of habit. I could go up to someone say, "I believe Jesus loves me." They'd probably believe me, too. Yet you yourself don't. The "Silence" is what you do when no ones around. Sure, you may be a great person in front of the other church-goers. But, what do you do in your spare time? What's your own personal "Silence"? I don't know. Just a thought. |
Paramore – Decoy Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I don't know. When I first heard this song, I was thinking that she's reiterating what someone said to her. As if in a mocking sense, or just a hurting sense. I partially agree with scene, though. It's kind of like Misery Business in a sense. The same 'I-Don't-Give-A-Damn-About-You' thing. |
Mae – Rocket Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This is probably their best song yet. It's really just about him loving someone so terribly and he wants to "fly away" with them. She's like his high, or so to speak. If you haven't heard it yet, just go here: http://www.081407.com/?vid=02 |
Mae – Breakdown Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I agree with the whole theory about how this song is about losing their virginity together. But, it seems as though the girl was the 'temptress', or so to speak, in the first place. And he didn't want to do it. But, they did anyway. Now, though, he's 'waiting for the breakdown' because everything, after this whole situation, is going smoothly. He's just expecting the worse. Expecting the consequences. "Nothing feels good being under the gun" - In other words: Nothing ever feels good [even sex] when you're pressured to do it [being 'under the gun']. And this line here "So do care what you wish for, it may come true" basically sums up the whole 'moral' of this song. Brilliant song, by the way. |
Dave Matthews Band – Crash Into Me Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This has to be one of the most beautiful songs ever written and played. I think its just about the general meaning of love. I also think this is just one of those simple songs that isn't meant to be over-interpretated or over-analyzed. It's just a feeling [love, specifically] exemplified through a song. |
Avril Lavigne – I Can Do Better Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This is actually an ok song, until she sings... "What'd you say? I told you so You know that 'cause I always know Get outta of my face Hey hey You're not my taste Hey Hey I am so sick of you You're on my nerves I want to puke Get outta my face Hey Hey You're not my taste Hey hey, hey hey" Then, it's just annoying. I read somewhere that she wrote, or rather 'made up', this song when she was totally drunk. Hey, whatever works for you. And, well, the meaning's pretty obvious. |
Hawk Nelson – Zero Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Oh, and... The best part of this song is when he yells that whole bridge. Almost anyone who's ever lost anyone can relate to that. |
Hawk Nelson – Zero Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I watched the music video for this, and I almost died. This song is really, really beautiful. I agree with everyone as far as the meaning - suicide. I cry everytime this song plays. |
The Killers – Everything Will Be Alright Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Optimism is definetly not an adjective anyone should use when describing this song. When Brandon sings, "Everything Will Be Alright", it sounds entirely sarcastic. It sounds like one of those songs/voices you hear when you have those sick nightmares where a phrase goes on and on that's the opposite of what you know and will happen. It sounds empty - like he's given up on everything & anything. Or, at least, most of it, anyway. I can see how you can see it as related to suicide. Sort of like a 'Last Words' ordeal. It's an amazing song, though. |
Paramore – O' Star Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I agree with electronchelle & lalalalisa. It's a gorgeous song. |
Underoath – Some Will Seek Forgiveness, Others Escape Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This song has to be my favorite song in the universe because it's helped me so much through everything, really. I don't necessarily think this is an evangelistic song. I more or less think it's a testimony of love. I mean, think about it - they probably are speaking from experience. Who knows how much crap they've been through in their lifetime that we go through now or will go through. They've experienced it - the hurt then the immense, delicate love. What I really adore about this song, though, is that Underoath isn't all, "Oh, you have to be a Christian or you're going to burn in Hell." It's just so.. gentle. And inviting. And safe. |
Paramore – For a Pessimist, I'm Pretty Optimistic Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Yeah, found this song on one of those fan-made MySpace pages when they forget to turn off the 'Download' button. No, it's not there anymore. But, anyway - it's a great song. Simply brilliant. They've definetly grown as a band in terms of their sound & lyrics. Can't wait for RIOT! |
Bayside – Winter Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Such a sad song. I've never known this band since now, but Beatz must have been an amazing man. This song, just like others have said, reminds me of one of my friends that died in January. RIP Beatz. |
