Soundgarden – Somewhere Lyrics | 14 years ago |
I love that all members contributed to the songwriting! The first line is as if he knows his purpose, and it's to find a soulmate. Keep on searching... |
Tonic – If You Could Only See Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Was just thinking about those lines exactly! "Seems the road less travelled shows happiness unravelled." There will be a compromise somewhere, here it's damaging the relationship with his Mum and family. "You've got to take a little dirt to keep what you love." We'll also hopefully be covering it soon :) |

This is a great song! These days it could be applied to internet romance, and the lengths some people go to to find true love. "Guess she's missing me across the miles", maybe the dream didn't come true, and they stay apart, only in contact through technology! |

Audioslave – Bring 'Em Back Alive Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I agree with the Icarus mythology in the first verse. When you are destined for great things, doing very well in life, it is usually expected that you succeed. When you fail, the "crowd" can't accept it, and you are left alone (to die). "Noone would see" where you are buried. Or the crowd is carrying him like a hero, but eventually he's forgotten. |
The B-52's – Planet Claire Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I love the "Some say she's from Mars..." verse. Alone, that verse could be about finding or knowing someone who is really different, and perhaps not accepted by the community, but you/he likes her anyway for that reason. She isn't an Martian! She came from and lives in her own world! The long instrumental intro is great too :) |
