You just have to hear this when they played it on the Black session in 2002.. The bas and a guitar overlaping at the beginning and paul's voice jumping in with sam's bas drum / cymbal combo... And the drumming just sort of muffles every other sound at the middle of the song, you can hear little except sam pounding those cymbals like it's the end of the world with paul singing so depressively...

If it makes you feel better about living, they have failed because Thom Yorke has himself said the song is about fighting your demons and losing over and over again... Personally it is a great song, heavy atmosphere and all, and the music is pure genius, with Thom's voice only adding to the moodyness... Pure genius..
