| The White Stripes – Icky Thump Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Its such an issue that hospitals are attempting to raise property taxes on their neighborhoods to pay for it. Lets unmask the alien invasion. There are already 20 million illegal aliens living in the US. Thats more than the 2003 estimated populations of Oregon, Nevada, and Washington combinded. Thats enough to line them all up shoulder to shoulder east coast to west coast with a few hundred thousand left over. Not to long ago a bill passed in congress to build a very large long wall (i dont know the precise length and height) but it would stop the daily invasion that was made possible by our political incompetence. But of course, it was phased out for reevaluation and nothing has been done about it since then. If PRO is the opposite of CON. Then the opposite of PROGRESS is CONGRESS. See the events connecting? The fact of the matter is that illegal's presence create more issues than it solves problems. Sure many of them work hard in the fields as you mentioned, but i love how so many would agree that a person of white skin would NEVER do such work; as if all agriculture production in the history of the world is the work of people who were not white. Heres an interesting story... The avocado industry. The US Department of Agriculture along with Bush lifted the ban against importing avocados from Mexico to California for the first time in 90 years. This allowed saturation of Mexican grown avocados into the California avocado marketplace. Why is this an issue? California growers lost a fifth of their market to avocados that are grown in part with the aid of human fecal matter. You may need to reread that last sentence. But anyway, whats my point? Bush is in bed with Fox? No. My point is that the political point made in Icky Thump is simple-minded. | |

| I love the sound of the song, but the political statement is simpleminded. Welfare and free healthcare doesn't sound like the bitter end of the deal to me. I suppose if i was in a 3rd world country and i heard about the US giving away free money I would most definatly move as well. Its our lovely anti-depressant medication-drunk politicians being moronic. What is the opposite of progress? Congress. | |

"Give me your eyes That I might see the blind man kissing my hands The sun is humming My head turns to dust as he plays on his knees " Anyone care to help explain the meaning of the blind man? |

| Cool song, i like the video. Is there anything factual that says robert smith is a druggie? Lots of song comments talk about him refering to drugs in his songs. | |
