"Love is our resistance/ They keep us apart and they won't stop breaking us down" This line is referring to a zener diode in reverse bias. The resistor placed in series between the diode and the battery is causing the diode to drop a constant amount of voltage, but without burning it out. Clearly, Matt is drawing a parallel between the delicate state of love and solid state electronics. |
