I feel that this song could be taken to have some sarcasm in it.. "I will *always* be that same boy.." - It could be that he's being held back.
"And watched you tower over me" - Feeling small?
Also, the lines
"Listen when you talk, dad
Follow where you walk, dad"
Seem to me that he's being forced to obey.

The riff is nearly exactly the same as No Doubt - Happy Now.. Still sounds awesome. To me it feels.. Claustrophobic, paranoid. I wouldn't be able to say what its about though. |
