I think the "what if all this was true?" line is referring to the fact that he has questioned love before, and he's wondering if it's all real. Before he does it all, he wants to make sure it's worth it. Or maybe the person he's talking about doesn't believe it's true, and he's trying to say "hey, i love you...is it really that hard to believe?" |

I used to have a friend who lived by me, and our apartment complexes were seperated by a golf course. There were many nights when I listened to this song on my walkman, in the cold breeze of the night. Just me, the stars, and this AMAZING song. I just can't tell you what this song does to me. I feel bliss...the bliss that comes from falling in love. I also feel a little longing, because I wish I had someone to share this song with. Oh, and the end when everything drops out and it's just the viola (I've been told it's a viola...I'm not too literate on string instruments)...oh my god. The song just enters a new dimension of beauty and feeling. God, this song is amazing. I get choked up every time I listen to it. |

I think this is about being in love with, or being really close to, a drug addict. The drugs drive them mad, and you try to get close to them. You try to see if there's still a real person behind all of the drugs, you know? But you might as well be talking to a wall. It's like...yes, they're totally strung out, but you don't want to give up on them, even though they act like you aren't even there. |

| This song is amazing. I don't think it's necessarily about a suicide. I think it's about the helplessness that can be felt when it comes to dealing with your family. You get into arguements and you hate the fact that they don't acknowledge or respect you. You get to a point where you start to think "Hey, I'm an adult too, and I shouldn't have to take this crap". You feel helpless because, frustrating as it can be and as hard as it can be to deal with, you can't just hate them and have that be the end of it. All you can do is forgive, or forget. | |
