Fantastic. Fantastic Song. Mad props to CeeLo for the lyrics. HOWEVER! There are errors in the posting. This is the correct verse: "My heroes had the heart To their lives out on a limb And all I remember, is thinking I wanna be like them Mmhmm Ever since I was little, Ever since I was little it looked like fun And there's no coincidence I’ve come And I can die when I’m done" Peace out. |

What it means to me.... entirely not what it means to ~anyone~ else. As it is written about... me. ~Mollena |

I firmy believe that anyone who takes the time to pull up lyrics from an ENTIRE GENRE of music that they ostensibly shun are secretly frustrated fans. , Making up words is stupid? I suppose Lennon & McCartney have your scorn as well, since they are guilty as well. I take songs on a case by case basis, as does any intelligent, thoughtful, well-balanced consumer. Wholesale dismissal and deliberate sniping does nothing other than waste bandwith and underscore your appearance as an asenine artichoke-brained asshat. |

| Julian Lennon – Too Late For Goodbyes Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| What a poignant testament to the abandonment a child can feel when a parent is distant. Julian Lenon wasn't able to know his father all that well growing up, as John Lennon left Julian's Mum and eventually remarried. Of course, having a famous Dad could well make mattere that much more complicated...despite the pop feel to this song, it moves me. I often wonder, not having a close relationship with my own father, what that loss must be like. | |
| Eric Clapton – Layla Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| "Women" ?! Seems to me this is less about silly generalizations than it is about a convoluted love story. And a beautifully rendered one at that. | |

| Level 42 – Something About You Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I suppose I'm the only one moved by this one...it is so evocative to me of a former love, someone about whome you once cared deeply, and how love can pass yet affection and pleasant memories can linger... one-hit wonders, sure... but I still like this song. | |
| Prince – Sometimes It Snows In April Lyrics | 20 years ago |

thanks for that profound dissescion, pat. *cough* I've heard the same story about this referring to his legal battles with Warner. His identity shift, designed to circumvent legal entanglements, may very well have felt like a death. Any way you slice it, that unpronounceable glyph was certainly a killer in its own right. |

| ....er, abundantly clear, that should read!! | |
| Prince – Let's Go Crazy Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| LP, while I am no fan of lazy chat-antics, you clearly have never read the lyrics of a Prince album from the source. Prince DID frequently substitute numbers like '2' and '4' in the place of the words that had the same sound. And this was when the 'net was in its infancy, so this is certainly not a case of lazy typing. The classic example 'I Would Die 4U' should make this abundantly. | |
| Steely Dan – Haitian Divorce Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| not4hire, a zombie is a drink, mixed tropical juices, rum, etc. I am bemused that you'd jump to the conclusion of rape...unless you are one of those people misguided enough to assume that there could be no way a white woman would sleep with a black man without the influence of drugs, alcohol and force. I'll not assume this is a racist idea, but it sure smacks of that stereotyping black men as leering "where the white women at?!" rapists. | |
