| The Swellers – Best I Ever Had Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| This is a great song. It strikes me as a veritable walk down memory lane. I'm assuming the part about helping Seattle cry is pertaining to Kurt Cobain, as he died in April of '94. | |
| Fireworks – Decline Of A Midwestern Civilization Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Was this song performed live, or were the bar sounds recorded? | |
| The Wonder Years – Melrose Diner Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Wow man, your insight is fucking mind blowing. Your version is so much more pertinent. Dick. | |
| Fireworks – Heart-A-Tact Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I downloaded this EP, and I think the track listing is wrong, because that's what it says the title of this song is... | |
| The Wonder Years – My Geraldine Lies Over The Delaware Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Oregon is like that too I believe, where they pump your gas for you. | |
| The Wonder Years – Melrose Diner Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| It sounds like it could be about having dinner with an ex and her current boyfriend. The end of the song is what leads me to that conclusion (along with the song title), with lines like "my friends all say you're sitting way too close to me That I should just get up and leave It's like I'm weighed down to the seat", like she purposefully sat next to him because she might still have feelings for him. It also seems like the first couple of verses could be reminiscing about things he once found charming, but now realizes that he hates, leading up to the meeting at the diner. | |
| MxPx – The Empire (feat. Mark Hoppus) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I can't hear Mark anywhere on this song... | |
| MxPx – Family Affair Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Here are the correct lyrics for this song: Finally met her parents on a Saturday night they gave me the eye wouldn't let me out of their sight they didn't like the looks of me right away they told me to go so I decided to stay my eyes were brown and my hair was blue of course they had a problem with my tattoos I can't please everybody all the time so right now all I wanna do is make you mine your parents hate the way I dress your parents say my life is a mess your parents hate what they don't understand All I wanna to do tonight is be your man Her dad asked what I did, I said I play in a band He said he hated devil music and he wasn't a fan Musicians can't be trusted and your job is a joke I don't want my daughter spending her life broke After that I didn't really know what to say so I said I think I'll date your daughter anyway I can't please everybody all the time so right now all I wanna do is make you mine your parents hate the way I dress your parents say my life’s a mess your parents hate what they don't understand All I wanna to do tonight is be your man Had to go drop the kids off at the pool Cause lately I’ve been having problems with my stool Came down the stairs that’s when I tripped and fell Felt like I was on my way straight to hell Now I think is time to make my way to the door But be sure tomorrow night, that I'll be back for more I can't please everybody all the time so right now all I wanna do is make you mine Your dad can't stand me and your mom's in shock your brother wants to kill me and your sister won't talk I got the whole dinner table talking about my hair But I don't really care It's just a family affair your parents hate the way I dress your parents say my life’s a mess your parents hate what they don't understand All I wanna to do tonight is be your man All I wanna to do tonight is be your man |

| The Wonder Years – Solo & Chewy: Holdin' It Down Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I love the Jimmy Eat World reference too. I also love the Ralph Wiggum clip at the beginning of the song: "I bent my wookie"... | |
| The Wonder Years – Bout To Get Fruit-Punched Homie Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I also love the cover art on the CD, it's directly related to this song... | |
| The Wonder Years – Bout To Get Fruit-Punched Homie Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I love the name of this song. I especially like the part where he says "I found her mouth all cut up" I think pretty much all of this band's lyrics are irreverent, so good luck trying to discern what the hell they mean... |
|
| H2O – What Happened? Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Skiba's voice does not mesh well with this music at all... | |
| H2O – Mitts Lyrics | 17 years ago |

| Lagwagon – Never Stops Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Also, does anyone else hear "killers of democracy fly from every SUV"? Kinda makes sense these days... | |
| Lagwagon – Never Stops Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This song is amazing. It's definitely my favorite off Blaze. And Blaze is my favorite Lagwagon Album, because the songwriting is so superior on this album versus the others... But it's clearly about the "christian" response to 9/11, about how a crusade began, and how they were all clamoring and bloodthirsty for revenge, hence, becoming what they once condemned. Great song... | |
| The Swellers – Bottles Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I think it's about drinking your troubles away, like Nick has never learned a different way to cope with things. I especially love the line "I'm leaving, help me down the drain". Definitely the best song on 'My Everest' besides Vehicle City. P.S. The video for this song doesn't really make any sense to me... |
|
| Bigwig – Freegan Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I wonder if Propagandhi ever responded to the last line of this song... | |
| Maxeen – Shuffle My Feet Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Wow, I can't even begin to correct these lyrics. I glanced at this for five seconds and already noticed the word 'cannot' misspelled. Also, I haven't had a "motor" in quite some time? Try "woman", and see if it makes more sense... | |
| Maxeen – Love Goes A Long Way Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Fuck yeah, the bass is awesome in this song! | |
| Bouncing Souls – That's Youth (Anti-Flag cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
They did a really good song covering this song. I will say that they did just as good a job as Anti-Flag. Not better, just different. It doesn't detract at all from the original |
|
| A Day at the Fair – The Lost, The Lucky Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| The Rocking Chair Years was by far the best CD i bought in 2005. It was a pleasant surprise...this songs is awesome. This girl dies because she'd rather do drugs than be with him....or something | |

|
| MxPx – Shut It Down Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I think this song is about getting a life and not being a shut in who only talks to people online. the vocals at the end of the song by Sugarcult's Tim Pagnotta are awesome! Shut it down Shut it down Before we're all outta time! |
|
| Eminem – Like Toy Soldiers Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| it's kinda funny that em says he went thriugh his whole career without ever mentioning suge. That's actually not true, he does mention him in the song 'Bully', about how he's somehow controlling Irv Gotti through fear. Don't know if anyone else said anything about it, but i'm surely not going to read seven pages of shit to find out! | |

| Doesn't Kenny Bridges sound alot like Kenny Vasoli of The Starting Line in this song? | |
| Obie Trice – Shit Hits The Fan Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
this song is tight. "Who you got in your ear? shhh... I don't even gotta say it, the fans know" i know Ja Rule had Suge Knight all in his ear talkin shit about Dre. hence "shhh(uge)" it's kinda funny i read an interview a looooong time ago with suge, and they asked him who he likes in the rap game, and he mentioned Ja Rule, and said that Pac would have liked Ja Rule cuz he's "a real nigga", and all these diss songs against ja Rule say that pac would hate his ass and beef with him...haha |

| Bad Religion – Believe It Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
ps, i used to ride the RTD. man, that thing was gross... |
|
| Bad Religion – Believe It Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| this song is amazing. it's the standout track from new america. it also marks the first collaboration of song writers Brett Gurewitz and Greg Graffin since Brett left the band in 1994. He also plays giutar in this song. i would have to say this song paved the way for Brett's rejoining the band, as well as BR making their triumphant return to Epitaph records, and regaining that magic that only Greg and Brett can create when sharing song writing duties | |
| Pennywise – Need to Know Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
to me this song means that you should think before you act. think about the reprecussions your actions may have, and how you should make educated decisions and not assume anything and leap head first into something you haven't thought through. this is hands down the best pennywise song i have ever heard. it's on the compilation 'the show'. it sounds like it may have been from the 'about time' sessions |
|
| Guttermouth – Can I Borrow Some Ambition Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| it sounds like cartman singing the chorus | |
| Saves the Day – Bones Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
i love how the lyrics are very morbid, but the music is almost happy and kind of upbeat. anyway, i think the song is meant to be figurative, i don't actually think Chris is fearing for his life. like i think he may be paranoid of the music industry critics because of the backlash the band recieved over in reverie. my perception is he's maybe expecting the same thing again. So all the rats and maggots are the critics, and they're out to get him and tear him to shreds and leave him for dead. |

| Avoid One Thing – Pop Punk Band (feat. Matt Skiba) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| tourn isn't a word. for the idiot who thinks it is. | |
| NOFX – Glass War Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|

|
| MxPx – Correct Me If I'm Wrong Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
i think this song is about mike parting ways with some one because they are on a different life path than him, and maybe because they don't want to hear the truth about God. "you've already found the book with all the answers to all your questions" the book obviously being the bible. my favorite song on this album. |
|
| Thrice – Don't Tell And We Won't Ask Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
i see this song about various social issues, specifically the "war on terror" in Iraq. 'Paint the target' 'we don't need no evidence' Bush went to war over ficticious WMDs. He had Iraq in his sights from day one. 'lesser humans whose lives you've spilt to suit your own' Bush is killing hundreds of Iraqis every day, and has sent over 2,600 kids to their deaths just so he and his oil buddies and neo-con cabal can steal and implement global empire. 'your actions are all justified' Well, Saddam was a bad guy, right? Stay the course, baby!!! I will go to my grave believing that George W. Bush was the worst thing to happen to this country. EVER. |
|
| Lagwagon – E Dagger Lyrics | 19 years ago |

| No Motiv – Brand New Day Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|

| Rx Bandits – Only For the Night Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| ...which is also the theme in "In her drawer" | |
| Lagwagon – Baggage Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| the beginning sounds like a nofx song... | |
| Lagwagon – Rager Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I think this song is about Joey realizing that people are basically gonna come out of the woodwork to "pay respects" to Derrick simply to get their name out there and to make themselves look good, and he's not happy about that. | |
