I visit forums for lyrics now and then and some of the interpretations of this song are really bad. You think System of a Down would waste their time singing about whores who got their feet stepped on in an orgy? WOW. K here it goes. This song is talking about how small the "Vicinity of Obscenity" is. They even speak through the guitars on this one. The men of this country are designed since birth to have certain views on women. Wether its finding a dirty mag on the playground as a kid, or Paris Hilton trying to sell you a sex-burger during a teletubbies commercial. No matter where you look, obscenity is "IN YOUR EYE." It's unavoidable and in your face, just like the guitar and vocal styles when they scream "banana banana terra cotta.... etc." The food references are symbolizing genitals. (Banana = dick, pie = pussy) Basically, it's right there, hard core, in your face, no matter where you look. Turn on the radio, and you're forced to listen to the ignorance and sexual deviancy of our nation. Flip on the television and you've got a pro-whore washing a car for a fucking CARL'S JR AD! It makes me wanna scream my damn self. "Is there a proper way of holding you, baby?" = Who knows, we are only taught to view women as objects. Which, is another variable in the "Matrix" known as American Society. "Do we learn [self] defeat from whores?" Yes... we do. Does that require lovin' you, baby? Their track "Violent Pornography" is the sister to this song. It's just more in depth, and attacks television as a main source of distributing this bullshit. Violent pornography is a new trend, especially in Internet porn. There are multiple web sites dedicated to it, and if you actually watch this material you can see how misguided, drugged-up, lied to, and manipulated the "actresses" really are. I know a guy who will watch MTV and holler at women while his 8 year-old is in the room. It delivers the same affect to the opposite gender; a false view of women. Guess what guys, girls don't worship your cock, or any cock. But that is what you see in porn, it's all a system. It's all variables in a matrix. Propaganda to Mesmerize, lies to hypnotize ...it's been going on since the dawn of time... The people who run this country TODAY, are the same people who ran it 200 years ago, the same people who ran Egypt 4000 years ago. Every day they get closer to pulling the wool over your eyes and mine. "It's a non-stop disco." Organized religion [Christianity is not a religion], our food supply, the force feeding of entertainment (in a restaurant - play music, in an office - feed em' magazines, in your house blare the TV, fill the mailbox with crap; fill your mind with crap), it's all intended to prevent you from having a relationship with God, and knowing the truth; that your life has a purpose above obtaining material goods. That there is a force out there with the intention of controlling your mind. Making you into a brick that helps support a very big wall for them to sit upon. Go back and watch "The Matrix", try to soak in what the writers are actually trying to say about our world. (Please don't send me emails, no, I don't think machines are growing us.) With the space that is in your backyard, one man can grow enough food to feed 24 people on a steady basis. So why would you work 40 hours at McDonalds to earn a paycheck that barely enables you to feed yourself poisoned food?
