This is beautiful really. I think it's even more tragic when you think about that song from Annie "Tomorrow's always a day away." Maybe the soldier's never coming home? |

W.B. Yeats wrote this poem. Its such a great song, the perfect combination of lyrics music and ambient guitars. I'm amazed no one has commented yet. |

I think in that break with the girl speaking, she is referring to the Angels of Mons. The Angels of Mons were these supposed angels that protected the British army during World War I. It helped the British win the war since it rejuvenated morale on their side and made them believe divine intervention was on their side.
I finally watched the movie they lifted the lines from. It was very interesting. |

It sounds like "Careful with that axe, Eugene" around the 15 or 16 minute mark. Which isn't a bad thing. I think it's about the darker parts of our minds. |

I think this is about the lack of true rock bands today. You have all this weepy alternative and emo stuff. You can try to stop it by forming your own band and playing your electric guitar and it's not going to stop anything. Kickass song. |

It reminds me of that line in "The Hollow Men" by T.S. Eliot, "This is the way the world ends, Not with a bang but a whimper." |

Roger Waters has said that it is about "the potential that human beings have for recognizing each other's humanity and responding to it, with empathy rather than antipathy." |

I think this song is about the U.S. from the time of FDR to Clinton. The good works is a reference to FDR's plan to get the economy rolling after the depression. The not being able to criticize may be Clinton's ability to get away with the Lewinski scandal. People didn't really care as much as they should have about that since Clinton did get the job done and moved the economy forward. |

I get the feeling that this has something to do with religion. I think it comes from that line "though the hero for hire's forever the same one." It's the idea that Buddha, Jesus and Mohammed all went through a seperation from society, a transformation and a return. Of course it could be applied to almost all heroes, so I don't really know. |

I think amberyeah is talking about Andrea Yates. She had postpartum depression. It happened here in Houston and the story was pretty big here. |
