Heidi Montag – Higher Lyrics | 15 years ago |
it was a sardonic comment. i hate heidi montag and everything she stands for. the video is what caps off the atrocity. |
Scissors For Lefty – Mama Your Boys Will Find A Home Lyrics | 15 years ago |

Scissors For Lefty – Mama Your Boys Will Find A Home Lyrics | 15 years ago |
It is Target, thats the phonetic spelling of target. |
Tegan and Sara – Dancing in the Dark (Bruce Springsteen cover) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
tegan and sara say that earlier bruce springsteen albums really influenced them as artists. i love this cover of dancing in the dark, because the clarity in sara's voice really makes you listen to the lyrics, and sort of rediscover the song. |
Freezepop – Starlight Lyrics | 16 years ago |
gorgeous song. zbc though? |
Freezepop – Swimming Pool Lyrics | 16 years ago |
i love freezepop. and i think this song was perfect for the scene in the L word. |
Heidi Montag – Higher Lyrics | 16 years ago |
the video is what makes the song as amazing as it is. |
Brand New – Good Man Lyrics | 16 years ago |
wasn't jesse dating michelle, and then she cheated on jesse with adam lazzara? but i do agree, i think its sort of a bittersweet goodbye to her, or at least a built up version of her. |
Rilo Kiley – Glendora Lyrics | 16 years ago |
It is really apparently about Jake Gyllenhaal |
John Mayer – Split Screen Sadness Lyrics | 16 years ago |
this song is about Jennifer Love Hewitt. And he broke up with her because of the distance. i think the line is " i know it's me who called it over." and even though he knows they can't sustain the long distance relationship, he is hoping shell fight him, and make them keep going, as opposed to accepting the split. |
Brand New – Sowing Season (Yeah) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I don't think it is a followup to seventy times seven. seventy times seven was primarily about John Nolan and Adam Lazzara. And it has been a very longtime since all of that stuff happened. But I do like your interpretation and it does make sense, cause Jesse has completely mellowed out. |
Anna Nalick – Catalyst Lyrics | 17 years ago |
oh good i'm glad someone caught the bridge corrections. the vein and the scar are important to the addiction and corruption connotations within the song. |
Avril Lavigne – The Best Damn Thing Lyrics | 17 years ago |
haahaahahaah. why are we acting like avril was good to begin with. not to say i dont enjoy her music. its great jump on the bed music. and she knows how to write catchy lyrics, but shes never been a top grade musician. its not really possible to sell out, if you never had much to sell to begin with. and if shes having fun making this music, which admittedly does have a new kicky pop sound, then why hate. it just doesnt make any sense to hate her to begin with, because her music shouldnt stimulate you far enough along to hate, and it also doesnt make any sense to start hating her, when you used to love her, nor call her a sellout because she was never any sort of alternative rock goddess, she was always going to be a pop punk princess at best, and we just be happy that shes embraced this. |
Timbaland – Time (Feat She Wants Revenge) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
this is so dark and amazing. this summer you'll probably be hearing it in hipster clubs and hip hop clubs. lovely. |
Arcade Fire – This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody) (Talking Heads cover) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
yea i love the way he sings too. especially at the part: "i'm just an animal looking for a home." |
Timbaland – Way I Are Lyrics | 17 years ago |
this so is so effin hot. |
The Nightwatchman – House Gone up in Flames Lyrics | 17 years ago |
a little dylan too. i love the "bold print nailed to the cathedral door." i just met Tom Morello in L.A. and hes so quiet. it's just cool to see him solo. |
Inara George – Fools In Love Lyrics | 17 years ago |
"Fools in love Never knowing when they've lost again" i thought it was never knowing when they've lost the game. |
The Weepies – Gotta Have You Lyrics | 17 years ago |
maybe it's just because it's what i am going through, but i agree with kdiddy. i think it's about someone who is trying desperatly to get over an old love, through winter spring and summer, but just can't. depending on your current outlook the telescope can be the past or the present. |
Arcade Fire – This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody) (Talking Heads cover) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
are you kidding? I love the lyrics. i just love them. |
Rediscover – Dance Transylvania Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Good Charlotte – Keep Your Hands Off My Girl Lyrics | 17 years ago |
*experimentation. |
Good Charlotte – Keep Your Hands Off My Girl Lyrics | 17 years ago |
HAHAAHAHAHAA. i think its hilarious that everyone who has sort of given up on good charlotte, or maybe didn't like them to begin with, likes this song. but all the "faithful" fans, hate it, or like it a lot less than older material. i personally love it. i've always enjoyed good charlotte music, happily jumped on the bed to it, but its never like touched me deep inside. and since this song is entirely satirical, of course it doesn't touch me deep inside, but i can actually dance to it! which i love. and the funny thing is you might totally hear this song at a hipster club. its just so dancey, it has a great beat and flow, and it's funny. i think they achieved what they were trying to achieve, and I think it is silly when people say things like "this isn't the old good charlotte. or fall out boy has totally sold out. their style has completely changed...blah blah blah!" the thing is we are in an era of complete genre oblivion. there is no pop, no rock-n-roll, no alternative, no grunge. music, and every band out there right now, in the spotlight at least,it and they are all suffering identity crisis'. no one fits in any clean genre, so all they can do is experiment, find out how far they can expand their personal music horizons, and until we are rockstars as well, and we know what its like to be shoved in the same poppunk genre for years and years, albums and albums that begin to sound all the same, we can not judge, nor namecall. we're entering a period of time, where every choice we make leads to another choice, every fork we take leads to another decision, and there will never be an end to the constant drive to keep changing and developing. rock and roll is no longer a simple idea. heavy drums, constant 12 bar blues progression, formulaic lyrics, and a strong wild lead singer. we are entering a new age of experimentation, based soley on choice and change. and the key to successful experimantation is lack of judgement. |
Margot & the Nuclear So and So's – Skeleton Key Lyrics | 17 years ago |
rape? gay? wow. |
Gwen Stefani – Yummy Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i like this song because she once again hits on that idea that she only meant to make one solo album, so its sort of a self-effacing song, even though its titled yummy. but shes saying that while she was gone, people sort of copied her, and apparently thats one of the things that compelled her to make another album |
Toni Braxton – How Could An Angel Break My Heart Lyrics | 17 years ago |
it's oh my soul is crying, it's dying i'm trying to understand... please help me oh also its not "does she need his smile" i think its " does she make him smile." and also white as rain... i believe. |
(+44) – No It Isn't Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i don't know if someone already said this, and there are way too many comments to read, but this song is in fact about the break up of "Blink-182." I heard Mark on the radio today explaining that he and Travis had to bite their tongues so much when media asked them about the split, so this song is their only answer |
Sugarcult – Los Angeles Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I agree with everyone who said it above that the "i want a love that wont hit back/ sex without a catch/ face to lust/ fuck this up" is just hot. i mean everytime i hear it i get all hot and bothered. this song is sex, not just sexy, straight up sex, in so many ways, and its funny because i do believe its sort of a parody of Los Angeles. |
John Mayer – Dreaming With A Broken Heart Lyrics | 17 years ago |
personal testimony: on the way to go see john last month, i was with one of my closest friends, and we were talking about which songs we liked on the new album, and I said this one because i can really relate. and she sort of shrugged it off, because her relationship was going well. they recently ended it, and she told me last night that she got it. she got the "waking up is the hardest part" and i just wished more than anything that she didnt get it. that she could keep shrugging it off. because you have these dreams, remembering how you were with this person, the happiness and comfort that they provided, and then you wake up and have to remind yourself that they're "gone." and that dream stays with you all day, and you have this instant happiness but you have to remember that it was just a dream. and the waking up is allllways agony. |
Télépopmusik – Smile Lyrics | 17 years ago |
he cheated on her. once before. she forgave him, because she loved him, loved his smile. When she saw him use the smile on someone, she realized that it might happen again, that he might hurt her again. |
Trespassers William – Different Stars Lyrics | 17 years ago |
it is about unrequited love. but its an unrequited love that used to be requited. I think its similar to yeahyeahyeah's "maps" or postal service's "such great heights" which are songs about long distance relationships caused by touring. i think its about a failed long distance relationship. darkeyes had it right using the word "captivating" this song just takes my breath away. |
She Wants Revenge – Tear You Apart Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Got a big plan, this mindset, maybe it's right At the right place and right time, maybe tonight In a whisper or handshake, sending a sign Wanna make out and kiss hard, wait nevermind Late night, in passing, mentioned it flipped her Her best friend is noticing, maybe it slipped But the slip turns to terror and a crush to like When she walked in, he froze up, believe it's the fright not throws up. i think "there's always reprecussions when you're dating in school" is super important. me and my ex live 500 miles away. and we knew after last year i wouldn't be returning to our school so we'd be away from each other always. hence the reprecussions. but the chemical attraction was just undeniable. i think thats what the song is about doing something, even though in the end you know it wont work.but theres an undeniable force that drives you to do it. it makes sense if you listen to alot of their work. |
