The White Stripes – Blue Orchid Lyrics 20 years ago
It is so funny. I am from Iceland, and in a week, Jack and Meg are having a concert. Everyone on the radio, even the guys planning the concert always call this song "Blue ORCHILD." Like some Orch Child from LOTR... or something. Terrrible!!
Here is the press release, with some serious grammar mistakes: http://destiny.is/news.asp?newsID=160&pageID=
Don't you think the White Stripes deserve more respect than this?

The White Stripes – I'm Finding It Harder To Be A Gentleman Lyrics 20 years ago
A lot of men I know are trying to be gentlemen to girls, but some gorls consider this courtesy to indicate that the guy sees them as voulnerable. With the feminist movement guys really don't know with is considerate and what is rude. Is opening a door for a girl a nice gesture or are you showing that you wear the pants?

When interpreting any kind of literature, there is always something 'dirty.'

A friend of mine used to work in arehad center for teenagers. They knew EXCACTLY what drugs worked together, they were even choosing the shapes of the tablets and portion of this and that drug... they had it all mapped out. I don't know... it just reminds me of that, you can't fool everyone with placebos.

The White Stripes – Dead Leaves And The Dirty Ground Lyrics 20 years ago
I've always related that song to masturbation after reading Walt Whitman and his interpretation of leaves... Dead leves on the dirty ground when I know you're not around? I was surprised that no one has mentioned it here.

The White Stripes – The Denial Twist Lyrics 20 years ago
My favorite song by The Beatles is a song by Paul called 'For No One.' I always loved the feeling of the lyrics; three characters, the guy, the girl, and the third wheel, the one in the middle, the communication. I really love that finally someone else got this feeling, because well, we've all been in these situations. The desperate one that thinks it's not over, the one moving on but still being inconsiderate, and the one that has people crying on your shoulder.

Well, I remember when "ringing someone's doorbell" was a euphemism for turning someone on... and they will "open the doors" for you. He does not know a man that only settles for kisses and holding hands (this song is therefore an opposite of 'We're going to be friends').
He is just waiting for a girl to come and turn him on... he has been going t see stripshows and such (And I've (the lyrics here miss the 've) been going to mystery misses / I respect the art of the show). He is just waiting for someone to make the first move.

The White Stripes – Seven Nation Army Lyrics 20 years ago
I used to think that it said 'Every single wound's got a story to tell' referring to the stigmata... Well, that suited my interpretation of the lyrics better.
Me and my father, who is a chaplain thought that he is speaking as Christ. Seven nations occupied the Land of Israel before its conquest by the Jewish people, so that the seven nation army might be the army of Isreal, that Christ tried to "fight" in word.
The message coming from his eyes and the talk of body fluids is also very Christ-like. This is what Christ mught have spoken like, were he not as polite as he is. It's a punk-Christ really.
But I could be over analysing. I do that alot.
