I know that guy said that Pinback songs aren't really supposed to mean anything, but this actually makes a little sense to me. The chorus, anyway. "Stop, it's too late, I'm feeling frustrated I see no sign of fortress" to me is like a relationship that isn't really going anywhere. Fortress could be a place of certainty. Neither of them is moving to make the relationship happen and they don't really know what's going on between the two of them, and one of them's finally, "You know what, that's enough. This is frustrating. Are we together or aren't we?" |
