| Lupe Fiasco – The Show Goes On Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I'm a Modest Mouse fan too, but it's great exposure for them. And I enjoy how this sample turned out. I realize Lupe Fiasco was forced to do this song, but it's a good song and I'm glad he recorded it. The verses have a message, they aren't meaningless raps. Be happy a good artist sampled Modest Mouse instead of someone careless. | |
| Baltimora – Tarzan Boy Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
Baltimora was a group-- not just Jimmy McShane, although he was definitely a member. They were an Italian new wave group. Sidenote: that I always thought was interesting is that while Jimmy's the one in the video for Tarzan's Boy, rumor has that Jimmy only sang the background vocals and it was, in fact, Maurizio Bassi that is the lead vocalist on this song. I certainly think that's possible given the way "Tarzan", "rushing" and "sunny" are pronounced in the song. Doesn't sound like an Irish accent, but rather an Italian accent, especially on the second time he sings rushing. |

| Dishwalla – Counting Blue Cars Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
My understanding of this song: The first verse is about a guy on the street who observes a little boy. He notes and remembers all the little aspects about being a child. Walking with a purpose and asking many questions. In the second verse its "we" not "he" as though he's remembering when he was a child. They counted blue cars, and they jumped over cracks in the sidewalk. But they also still asked the same questions. The third verse seems to bring the speaker back to the present, however, I think he's realizing that its all the same. He's still asking the same questions. In the third verse he seems to be both a child and a man. I think the overall message is that sometimes we are all still children in respect to things we cannot understand, like god. Maybe as a child he asked if god was a female or male, and then even as an adult he still doesn't know for sure. Just my own take on it. But whatever the song means I always enjoy it. |

| Scissor Sisters – Comfortably Numb (Pink Floyd cover) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I kinda like the cover, except when he sings "I've become comfortably numb" it sounds like he's trying to channel the Bee Gees. | |

| Scissor Sisters – Laura Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Red Lioness- The lyrics are incorrect. He's not singing 'chamown' its 'come on' and that comes directly from the cd. | |
| Stir – New Beginning Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I always thought he was singing from her pespective. She says "You do me then leave for another girl." But it could very well be about his friend's wife leaving for another woman. |

I agree, it seems to be about how memory is just as important as change. Although, I think its "blue satin sashes" not "cool satin sashes. |

| Rob Thomas – Lonely No More Lyrics | 20 years ago |

some of the lyrics are incorrect: "I don't wanna know the love around my door" is actually "i don't wanna know the lover at my door" and "When my heart's still on your name" is "when my heart's still on the mend" |
