| Queen – Play The Game Lyrics | 8 years ago |
| One of my favorites. I really like how there are subtle changes in tone or mood in the song, from cheery to ominous. They lyrics are also sometimes earnest and sometimes flippant in regards to falling in love. Reminds me a little bit of Ring of Fire (Johnny Cash) in certain ways, especially when it comes to the dual nature of love or dating. | |

Songmeanings edited my original submission... clearly the lyrics are wrong. Give me your shoulder, I'm a sing song bird My savior says that I've the words That map across the daylight blinding you Chicken bone with a ten-cent bunk When Jesus spoke, though I was drunk, Untied my shoe and told me what to do Warn the boys above the dimmer rooms And try to woo them all with the cheap perfume Gloom light glitters the pathway to the fall Warn the girls about the dimmer stars And try to woo them all with the cheap guitars The morning bathes glitter on us all Warn the boys above the timber rooms And try to woo them all with the cheap perfume The sun don't sweat the souls that get the call Warn the girls about the dimmer stars And try to woo them all with the cheap guitars Dear Lord give me the strength to shade you all |
