kljakubisin, go to their official website and look at the messageboard. Shaun made it clear that Wind Up did not tell him he couldn't swear. I forget the name of the thread, but trust me, its there. I've seen it. And, yes, I've heard "Its Been Awhile." I'm a huge Staind fan and I have all of their albums. If you look at the lyrics from "14 Shades of Grey," you'll see that Aaron doesn't swear in 9 of the 14 songs, and in one song he just says "shit" one time. So compared to Eminem, he really isn't that profane. |

MaggieMichelle, WindUp did not tell him he couldn't swear on the new record, he just chose not to. Thats a common misconception. Frankly, I'm glad he chose not to swear. He doesn't need to. It makes the band sound more mature when they get their anger out without saying the f word all the time. And Aaron Lewis doesn't swear that much, although Eminem does. |
