Joy Division – Love Will Tear Us Apart Lyrics 14 years ago
If you love Joy Division, you should see "24 hours party people" as mentioned earlier, but also read the book Deborah Curtis wrote about Ian... It's called "Touching from a distance"... Very good... and sad...

Depeche Mode – Black Celebration Lyrics 14 years ago
What about the voice sample played at the end of this track?? I think I understand a small part, saying "video washing", but it doesn't make sense.
And wehre does it come from?

Anyone got an idea?

Depeche Mode – Never Let Me Down Again Lyrics 14 years ago
I've also been wondering about this song for ages... When I was 15 (now I'm 30), I thought it was simply about deceived love (or friendship) affair between 2 people taking a new start (never let me down AGAIN...). Then someone told be that it could be about drugs, which made a lot of sense also... but, if it's about taking a LSD trip, why never let me down "AGAIN"? The fear of getting back to the real world?... may be...
I could also be about some political leader... or even some religious considerations.. but I dont think so.

xod wrote above that Martin was clean and sober... I dont't really think so... I remember an article I've read where Martin told about his taste for beers... and books about Nazism... but there are NO reason to start a debate about that, knowing that both of them are at left.

Anyway, the "As far as I remember who's wearing the trousers" is clearly about control... And I'm convinced that the "who" is in fact Martin, not another person, wether it's about love or drug.

Finally, this song is quite simple in words, structure and melodies, but the meaning of it, especially when you think about the song and the sound as a whole, remains a mystery... And one of my very very all time favourite.

Martin, if you read us... ;-)
