Foil – Are You Enemy? Lyrics | 8 months ago |
Totally not the lyrics I submitted for this song. The correct lyrics for Foil's "Are You Enemy" as found on the album SPREAD IT ALL AROUND are as follows: Somewhere I lost what was mine Bleeding heart laid bare Watch while all the shadows fall Memory of defeat everywhere My limitations know no bounds Lack of ambition has struck me down You lie at the center of everything But what’s yours is mine anyway (YEAH!) I suffer at your hands again (YEAH!) Make me shake, make me crawl, oh yeah (YEAH!) I push myself into the ground (YEAH!) This was never meant to happen… Falling in and out of phase This could be your final call Slipping from your state of grace If you stumble once you lose it all So pull yourself into the ground Have you sunk too low for prayer It lies at the goal of everything You were never mine anyway (YEAH!) I suffer at your hands again (YEAH!) Make me shake, make me crawl, oh yeah (YEAH!) I push myself into the ground (YEAH!) This was never meant to happen to me (ARE YOU ENEMY?) I suffer at your hands again (CAN YOU ERASE ME?) Make me shake, make me crawl, oh yeah (ARE YOU ENEMY?) You push yourself into the ground (ARE YOU ENEMY?) This was never meant to happen… (YEAH!) I suffer at your hands again (YEAH!) Make me shake, make me crawl, oh yeah (YEAH!) I push myself into the ground (YEAH!) This was never meant to happen to me (ARE YOU ENEMY?) I suffer at your hands again (CAN YOU ERASE ME?) Make me shake, make me crawl, oh yeah (ARE YOU ENEMY?) You push yourself into the ground (ARE YOU ENEMY?) This was never never never never… |
Toadies – Possum Kingdom Lyrics | 11 years ago |
This has to be one of the sexiest songs about rape and murder ever written. Almost makes me feel creeped out when the meaning of the lyrics come sneaking around my mind while groovin' to the tunes. |
Bare Jr. – Give Nothing Away Lyrics | 12 years ago |
And if you cared it all for me You would swear to God that you hated me And send me away with some dignity |
Twisted Sister – S.M.F. Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Just in case you don't know, S.M.F. stands for "Sick Motherfucker" |
KISS – Black Diamond Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I don't think it's possible for someone to claim that any member of Kiss has "sold out" since the band was based off of marketing from day one. Don't get me wrong. I love Kiss. I've been a fan since I was 4 years old, and I'm not 36 years old. Sorry, the band formed not for any artistic expression, but to get woman, money and fame. Paul and Gene have expressed this in a multitude of interviews. That being said, how can you call the man a sell out? |
The Chills – Look For The Good In Others Lyrics | 13 years ago |
The full title of teh song is actually "Look for the good in others, and they'll see the good in you" but the title field for the song entry form does not allow for enough characters. This is a song about disillusionment in relationships. |
Whale – Hobo Humpin' Slobo Babe Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Slobo = A slutty hobo, but not a prostitute. This type of person lives in a tent city and gets passed around among the male hobos. |
KISS – Plaster Caster Lyrics | 14 years ago |
You'd write a song about it because the woman was a legend, and it's just way too rock n' roll to resist writing a song about it! Actually one of Kiss's most under rated songs in my book. |
Rush – Closer to the Heart Lyrics | 14 years ago |
This song is very Confucian. |
Melissa Etheridge – Christmas in America Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This is a good song in which I'm sure a lot of military spouses can relate. |
Marvelous 3 – Beautiful Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Way under rated song. I think most guys could relate to this song. Hell, I know I've lived this song more than once. To all the beautiful women out there with unappreciative boyfriends, stop dealing with the B.S. and start looking at the guy that you think of as a "best friend." He's probably singing this song in his head every time he sees you cry. |
Marvelous 3 – Every Monday Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Marvelous 3 played a show for the radio station I worked at during college, and I told Butch how much I loved this song. He laughed his ass off, and said that this song is about the life of a down and out barfly. Great song. Great band. Great group of guys. Too bad they're not still playing together. They put of one of the most fun shows ever. Pure energy. Plus, every show I've been to (about 5) some random chick always ended up naked, half the time on stage. Now that's Rock N Roll! |
The Push Stars – Bad Sneakers Lyrics | 18 years ago |
*LOL* Right you are about it being a Steely Dan song, but there are some folks that know them from something other than the Me, Myself, and Irene soundtrack. Anyone that's walked down The Strip in Tuscaloosa, AL has had "Deacon Blue" blared at them from one of the local shops, all because of the song's mention of The Crimson Tide! |
Pixies – Wave of Mutilation Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I agree with cdconn. The UK Surf mix is definately well worth listening. It was actually the first version of the song I heard (it was on the PUMP UP THE VOLUME Sounndtrack) while a whee lad, so I may be biased. The toned down, mellow groove is sweet and haunting. |
Morphine – Cure For Pain Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Someone mislabeled one of them. This is "Cure For Pain" and the other is actually "I'm Free Now" |
