To me it sounds like his singing about someone who died, (obviously; hence the suicide of a friend thing) It reminds me of how people take their love ones presence for granted, and how they only relise how much they mean to them when thier gone. And how hes saying i should have stopped to think, i should have taken the time..now your gone its too late..etc. For instance when you loose someone, either through a breakup, when someone moves away or even when someone dies it really makes you think how at the time you didnt relise how important those times you spent together were..until their gone. |

"Teach kids to be all they can be, and we could sing my country tis of thee sweet land of liberty"
to me that line sounds like how the government and most teachers and parents in general are shutting their kids of from the dangers assosiated with 'punk rock' and that teachers, parents and the government are brainwashing kids (or the next generation) to think and act a certain way or to 'fall in line and fit the mould'; and how teenagers in general have lost the cause and will to rebel against authority and turn to the 'punk rock way of thinking' and not many kinds turn to real punk rock these days as an escape from authority or reality, instead they turn to what they THINK is punk, (bands such as good charlotte, blink 182, simple plan etc) just to be "cool'. I know too many kids who start to listen to these bands that i have mentioned so they can be seen as 'cool' and whats worse is that they think they are punk. What ever happend to real punk, what ever happend to the true spirit of rebelling agaist authority?
i want conflict i want dissent, i want the scene to represent
our hatred of authority, our fight against complacency
^ now days society dosn't fear punk rock, they've made friends with what its become. |

Reset were cool...didnt they like split and some members went to simple plan or something? they were better in Reset. I cant belive only 1 person commented...anyways this song is about feeling pressured and every1 expects something from you and you just want every one to leave you alone..pretty self explaintary.

ok i can really relate to this song. Today was THE worst day ever. I witnessed someone die in a car crash and blood went everywhere and then they had 3 be carried of in a body bag, there was blood and body all over the street. I got 5 weeks of detention, my best friend is leaving the state, my other friend got expelled, i got teased and harassed by my bf's friends, My dad left home, my mum refuses to talk to me, i got grounded, my brother threw my guitar out and my mum ripped my green day tickets up right in front of my face!, plus i just broke up with my boyfriend and my dad abused me.... cant wait till tomorrow (sarcasim) |

i think this song is about being a misfit and not fitting in anywhere, everyone is always bringing him down because his different and everyone is putting presure on him to be like them. hes trying to convince himself that he can be better then them and hes giving a big fuk you to the world. i can really relate to this song. it kicks ass |
