| The Smiths – There Is a Light That Never Goes Out Lyrics | 15 years ago |

Elvis? That could be but if this link works let me know if you have seen this one. The funeral parlor music is a bit much. http://www.dianamystery.com To me this is a great song about love and tragedy ending in death. MK |

| The Wallflowers – One Headlight Lyrics | 15 years ago |

I heard this on Coast to Coast AM one night years ago. That this sad Grammy winning pop rock song was somehow connected to another out years ago. The caller said it was one of the two most connected songs in the history of rock and roll. Are there any members visiting today that know what the other song was? MK |

| REO Speedwagon – Roll With The Changes Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
A whole lot of meaning and look at my signature. This song is who they are and my faorite truck dad had in the 1950's was a REO. I live 38 miles from REO, Indiana. The organ/key board tapping is unreal and I get goose bumps when all this art work is heard around two to three times a say 130 miles South of Champaign/ Urbana, Illinois. One reply was just waiting for another for this super timeless hit! MK |

| Manfred Mann – Do Wah Diddy Diddy Lyrics | 20 years ago |

I really like this song and hear it very little on Classic Rock stations. I just now learned who recorded it. I am a slow one to catch to who sings what. This is cool version of a love song that could have been recorded in the fifties. MK |

| Pink Floyd – The Dogs of War Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
It's guitar great to the Gilmour max. The song fits the early part of this century. Johnny Cochran died yesterday. What he said is that the glove didn't fit. This song fits with the other 10,.....like a glove. |

| Pink Floyd – Sorrow Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
'Haunted by the memories of a lost paradise.' Let's see what we can do as the human race to prevent these potentialy prophetic words. A few of the words above are due a re-wording. Demau can probably edit just a wee bit. Dogs of War is ahead of this on the album. I hope it's not that way in the future. All the tracks were read in order on alternate radio the week of,.........9 letters in Pink Floyd and 11 tracks of 1987's AMLOR. Great David Gilmour and his guitar's magic wonders! |

| Pink Floyd – Signs of Life Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
A very subtle start to the album, and 80% of all listening have rowed a boat using squeaky oars. Great intro to AMLOR. I here it played on Friday's Floyd Fix on The Classic Rock Experience. An underated song on their underated 1987 album with a potential future yet un-imaginable. Great song with more of Floyd's easy listening. Cody |

| Pink Floyd – One Slip Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
The phrase, 'a momentary (tree) lapse of reason' was simply used in a song from the album of the same name. This is planned I do believe. A real super clean song about the world's most popular pastime. Cody |

| Pink Floyd – Free Four Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
When the Classic Rock Experience plays the song I always think it's David Gilmour singing. It sounds just like him. I think the song would go well if you were riding a horse.I see the credit above goes to Pink Floyd and not Gilmour. I learn more about Pink Floyd each day. Great song played on CRE,....quite often. | Bob Seger – Night Moves Lyrics | 21 years ago |

I'll add this note since no one else has. I have been waiting for another mild rockers song to come on the air ways with a better finish. All the way thru we millions can relate so well! Uh huh! Uh huh! Cody |

| Midnight Oil – Beds Are Burning Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| As soon as I hear Beds Are Burning I think of Austrailia, and Classic Rock in SW Indiana is playing it nightly. AC-DC and Mid-night Oil are rankers here. Great song and I hope to hear it again as I did last night. The Mack runs better,....and the Scania runs better when Oils a rockin'!! | |
| Johnny Horton – Battle of Bull Run Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
Well VampedVixen,......what a user name! Thank you for the recent addition. I haven't looked. Could be they're all yours. What does this song mean to me? Well! That it's another example of America's need for a US Navy ship namesaked the USS Johnny Horton! I hope to see the History Channel do a follow the bouncing dot for a sing along for an entire hour,......two hours!! Thanks Mrs. wild name Cody |

| Pink Floyd – Another Brick in the Wall, Pt. 2 Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
Well it's Time for an 05 comment. When Another Brick came out two DJ's localy were discussing the new song. The lady said, "Well! I don't know what the kids will get out of that song!" "I don't get it at all." The B**** couldn't see the forest for the trees! #1 In the civilized world school is common ground to us all. The feeling of being another brick in the wall is common ground to most. #2 The guitar solo, if I let it, will still tingle my skin with goose bumps! I don't know this but I always thought the lyrics were second and the rousing guitar solo was first. In other word the song was designed for the guitar part. This is the most requested party song in the USA. #3 Pink Floyd is the most played artist on all Classic Rock stations. Amazing Grace! Hail Mary! Mother of God! We're so thankful for that! If you like Pink Floyd you like 'em all! As in all rock groups! |

| Pink Floyd – Run Like Hell Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
www.snopes.com go to Entertainment get to page 5 or 6 for America's first song of inspireation after 9/11/01. I need to bump it to page one again. One of you log on and post if you heard the compilation. To date no one has and there is 44 repiles. There is so much of simple loss for words,...'cursing' in the past comments that I think some cursers must have been old posters at Pink Floyd's old wild West shoot 'em up cussin' forum. Sick 'em! Rock n roll cow punchers your chaps are slipping down around your ankles! Let's all get along on this non moderated board. |

| Pink Floyd – Learning to Fly Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
I could be a driver of the road,........anyone who can drive down a ribbon of black. But it's about a pilots apprehension of flight. The great song along with other mastepieces from A Momentary (tree) Lapse Of Reason. Eventualy the album will be seen in a much greater light. I hear it every night in my part of the US. | Pink Floyd – Yet Another Movie Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
I agree with Pitface, and it's about time for another comment of what it means to me. I like it, but where it comes from is a mystery. David didn't know either. I hear it only on The Classic Rock Experience a syndacated radio show in the US. The Friday Floyd Fix with Michelle Michales. I doesn't remind me of a movie though. It is a typical eighties piece like Pitface said. You'd never hear any group do anything like it today. Pink Floyd's namesake Georgian bluesmen Pink Anderson and Floyd Council broke the mold from Heaven! Cody |

| Pink Floyd – Run Like Hell Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
Well what does it mean to me and about 50 million mid-west Americans? It is seared into memory. It was the carrier for the compilation of America's first inspireational song after September 11, 2001. I heard it one time. It was pulled and part of a list of songs banned which included Bobby Darin's "Mack The Knife" !!! Mother was another " do you think they'll drop the bomb?" The compilaton was not played on the East coast. A Southern Baptist fire and brimstone preacher said a rousing sermon,......A US Marine said the poem "This is my rifle",.......George C. Scott said his lines from Patton, "We'll grease our tank treads with THEIR guts!" If you didn't hear the compilation at least once it was not seared into your memory. The song may be played on Broadway's The Wall. Roger Waters cool song full of crecendos was a perfect choice saying "Run you SOB's to Hell! Otherwise it's the song Pink Floyd used to close their concerts after 1979, and what does it mean to me? I'll never forget the song and the compilation as long as I live! Cody |

| The Wallflowers – One Headlight Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
Like 'Hazard', 'One Headlight' is one sad song that us fans get so attached to. Sad pop rock songs are rare. 10 10 220's John Stamos got attached to it too! Great 2 grammy winner song #58 on MTV's top 100. It is about a lady that was loved greatly. |
