| The Kinks – The Village Green Preservation Society Lyrics

If anything, this song is an appeal to young people (Kinks listeners at the time), that new doesn't always mean better, and that sometimes it's ok to appreciate old traditions and styles for what they are and not be an evil "conservative".
This is ESPECIALLY true in Britain... |

I'm amazed, this is Neil's lyric writing at his most conversational. This is an understated wonder of a song. |

This song is absolutely epic.
I think it's about how religion is a rather convenient comfort blanket for blocking out the bad things in the world (the arrows), but on the flipside, religion is frequently the cause of many of the world's ills (the arrows).
After a while, we get too complacent and refuse to be tricked anymore that the world is a great place and turn our comfort blanket into a powerful sword to force the world to be a better place. |

There are 2 different lyrics written for this song. This is the older unreleased version of Interention. The new one with the organs is different. |

The music in this song is absolutely stellar. The distortion and processed sound of the guitars and ridiculously loud bass is absolutely stellar and as close to perfect as one can wish for.
Best driving song ever. |

Alex does such an awesome job in this song in that he really does shoot straight and expresses Neil's heartwrenching lyrics right to the point. |

Yeah, it's 6-string all the time I think actually. Maybe on a few occasions Alex might play it 12-string, but I've never seen it in action. |

| Johnny Cash – Hurt (Nine Inch Nails cover) Lyrics

12Monkeys, it makes me sad that you can't allow yourself to see how a man can take another man's song and make it his own in such a passionate and truly moving way.
Johnny Cash took a song about Trent Reznor and made it about himself. What a beautiful statement and I am saddened that you can't see the immense sincerity that Johnny Cash brought to this new again song. |

That's rather unfortunate because LSD was first synthesized in 1938 by Swiss chemist Dr. Albert Hofmann.
This song doesn't have any drug overtones, it's just another one of Neil Peart's adventures in song form. A darn good one at that. |

More countries than the USA have mist covered mountains.
Also, drummer boys aren't unique to the USA, and cavalry is a British concept anyways The first large industrial war was most likely the seven years war with Napoleon. |

Why I'm sad that this song is so short, I still really like it.
I really like this song as previously mentioned, but something sets it apart from the usual cliched pop tearjerkers. Something sets it apart..
I never liked Sum 41 and I still don't but this song is fantastic. |
