This song is about being a rockstar and using cocaine. The "Now I'm not really interested..." line is about hanging out with fans backstage, the freaks, small talk and boring sh!t the boys out up with. However, the fans usually bring goodies--stuff to get them wired again (..."I'm a broken wire"). To "drag" another is to cut a line of coke with a razor or credit card. "Turning our heads into the sunshine" is the movement of someone's head while sniffing a line of coke. |

"Steve" was a bouncer at the Georgia Theatre back in the ealry 90's. When Jojo showed up to play w/ WSP for his 1st show, Steve wouldn't let him in. "You ain't part of Widespread Panic--I see that picture of 'em right there on the wall...(pointing to an old WSP promo pic w/ T. Lavitz instead of Jojo). Now GET OUTTA HERE you damn liar!" Steve yelled at Jojo. "And come back some time when YOUR picture's on the wall!" He finished, leaving Jojo out in the cold, and late for soundcheck. Eventually, Jojo contacted Sam or someone at Browncat to get him inside the theatre for his 1st live appearance w. the boys. The rest of the lyrics are about baseball players and drugs... I think. |

This song was written originally as an instrumental. It sounded like another Athens band's song, who called themselves LOVE TRACTOR. As a nod to their fellow band's name, WSP named their song after them...at least this is what I've heard. The lyrics are about a kid on a farm, loosely based on JB's experience as a youngster visiting his granddad? |

This is a true story: Greta hippie-looking, kinda groovy bartender in Athens, waaaaay back in the day. I think Jojo used to date her. She had an episode where an intruder tried to break into her house one night...she was alone and only had her dog to protect her. Pissed off (In a fighting mood) at the intruder (who attempted to climb in through her bedroom window after "pawing" at the front door and finding it locked), she sicked her dog on him. The dog mauled the intruder's face, leaving him hospitalized. Greta was ticketed and got into trouble for the incident by her landlord. Her gun was confiscated after the incident. |

When I was in Athens, I heard that this song was written by Jojo after a bad break up w/ one of his old girlfriends. "I saw my lady in the streetlight..." lines are about when he was at the beach, and saw his GF headed to the beach w/ some other guy. He apparently caught them f&$king on the beach. Not a pretty scenario. |
