Wot, no comments?
Well, the lyrics are pretty obvious.
I prefer the intro to this song on the album version, but I prefer the rest of the song on the Queen Rocks compilation. Wish I could swap the pieces around... |

| Queen – Get Down, Make Love Lyrics

Right-- I have a studio demo of the song "It's Late" and instead of the normal version, there was an interlude of Freddie improvising with a delay machine. Somewhere in the middle, he pops out with the lyric "get down, make love." I'm pretty sure the song stemmed from that. |

Dead-- I'venever heard that, and I've seen and read almost every Queen/ FM interview ever. Can you cite the source?
Also-- LOVE the "cello" Bri did on the guitar.
And learning to play the harp that well in such a short amount of time. Brian is a God. |

Queen didn't sue Vanilla Ice, but Hollywood records did, since they had just spent millions buying out Queen's catalogue and didn't want V.I. getting any royalties on the song. |

I just find it ironic that this song is about a trumpet player, yet there is no trumpet (or even guitar disguised as a trumpet) in the whole song. |

Brian and Freddie co- wrote this one.
Yeah-- I think this is just a kind of nostalgic tour of their lives as Queen. |

I agree with Asitbegan.
I haven't heard the recorded Metallica cover-- only saw their performance at the FM tribute gig.
I couldn't believe Queen let them cover it (since you're required permission to cover a song if you change the lyrics).
That's practically blasphemy on Metallica's part-- especially since they're such big Queen fans. |

| Queen – These Are The Days Of Our Lives Lyrics

Brian once told in an interview who was the main contributor to most of the songs, saying that Roger wrote Days of our Lives.
Also-- Brian and Freddie co- wrote Was it all Worth It. |

| Queen – Too Much Love Will Kill You Lyrics

RIght... The Queen version of this song was only actually turned into a Queen song because when Freddie knew he was dying he told the other guys to give him ANYTHING to sing. Brian had written this for his album "Back to the Light"-- with the two other aforementioned people (and it, consequently, was included on that album). He gave it to Freddie to sing so they would have enough material to possibly do another album after he died ("Made in Heaven").
God, you people with this obsession with AIDS... *shakes head* |

His dad never left them... Although he did recently die (but that was just last year or maybe a couple years ago, long after Freddie died). |

Which wife are you talking about, then? The first or the current?
Hey-- it's all about the love, not how well you can do. |

Excellent song. Totally crazy and brilliant. I wish I could write like that...
And, agreed on the bit about Rog's vocal-- it creates a nice breakup of the general style. Fantabbo. |

It is, in fact, written from the perspective of the girl in the relationship-- Brian said so. |

It's about a kid sister growing up too quickly... I think. And her brother's unconditional love for her no matter what path she chooses. |

Sounds like a perfect theme to a movie to me. I'm writing a screenplay using the title, with this song as a theme.
Very 30s. I love it. |

| Queen – The Prophet's Song Lyrics

Brian said that he wrote this song based on a dream he had.
He said he normally wouldn't write a religious- type song like this, but the dream was nagging at him and he felt like he had to turn it into something, so why not a song?
So, it is religious, but not in a specific way necessarily. |

Never thought about the two being connected...
White Queen always gives me an interesting feeling. I can picture it in my head. It actually reminds me a bit of Shakespeare when I hear it. Kind of odd, I know. |

It was just written about a character in a film.
Of course, any good song has elements from a person's own life in it. Brian must have had something in mind from his own life when he wrote this, but it's obviously NOT about AIDS.
Not everything is about AIDS. |

Mustapha Ibrahim is just a name...
Aleikum Salaam means hi, how are you.
Not sure what the other stuff means.
It's Arabic.
I really like this song. It's groovy. |
