Yea, you might think these guys are hardcore, but deep down they are just another boy band wanna be punk. Ha! I heard someone say PATD was indie. The farthest from indie. Indie is honest music, that the bands write and play themselves. NO SYNTHESIZERS. This is not talent! You are being fooled! but because they sound cool and your friend likes them you will but their cd, making them rich off of being fakes! This is an electronic dance band and the are not honest thay are weighing their money because you LOVE fake music. Oh and if you are a Christian, you might want to check your 10 commandment and the song called "I write sins not tragedies". Thou shall not take thy Lords name in vein! If not, then disregard that. Come on guys, listen to some honest music, make the bands who really work hard money, not these posers. |

schatze mean treasure or something valuable. I think they only used that to ryme though. Many germans during the WW II era became nazi's only because they didn't wan tto be killed. Most didn't know why and didn't ask "why are we doing this?" Hitler did not seem like a bad guy at first. After WW I many people were left unemployed, and Hitler fixed all that. They basically brain washed people into doing what Hitler wanted them to do. So that explains the "Today your love" because he first won Germany over before doing all of the horrible things he did, and he had people to help him. |

This song is basically self explanitory (although I had to look up the word Aesthetic. lol) But they're just saying how radio is so watered down, and standards for quality music is lowered so much (rap/pop in my opinion) at first he's saying "hey let's take back the radio" but by the end he sees there is no taking it back. Turn it off. I get chills when the last line plays because it sounds so erie. And then I'll miss you when your just like them" that's awesome. but I don't get the part where he say "but the politics need means" any guesses? |

When I heard this song this is how imagagined it. A guy and his girlfriend, who is into drugs, and just in with a bad crowd. The boyfriend wants her to get away from that lifestyle, because he was there once. (I have to change the course I send myself.) So like he got away from all that, and now he wants her to maybe go to church and sober up or whatever. and he's saying what you wish for wont come true. live with that. or you know you can change. " when the rides done, the hopes that you have carried, they fall out from your hands back to the ground" that's like saying you know when the fun is over, your back to how you were, your not better. "live with that" She learns, as the drugs leave from her body and the addiction dies. And then she shows up at church a different person, or at least changing person. the haze clears from her eyes.
It reminds me of the kids at my church. A lot of them are living live that they know are wrong, but then they come to church and they try again. you just have to welcome them you know, and encourage them because they are your friends. Great song. |

Who is Wilhelm Fink? "Wilhelm" is a German name (pronounced Vil-helm", I know that. Mike Dirt, of Green Day is also in The Frustrators, and in the "thank you's" in the cd "Achtung Jackass" they thank a guy named "Wilhelm Fink"

Yea, I noticed the instrument switch. I wonder what "We don't like what we just saw but..." means. And why are they screaming Carolina? It sounds to me that hey are talking about one event where something went bad. Like something happenened that he doesn't want to talk about. But I don't think many people would agree with that. It seems to me that Brock talks about his father in songs a lot. On the cd Building nothin out of something, there is one song where he says "I told my dad what I need... well he said he said he said..." and also in the fifth song. I like Modest Mouse a lot, because there are so many songs that I don't know what they mean and it's really interesting to try to think of what they mean.

I agree with you, despondent. Not only did they take away past Holidays, but now, it seems like our future holidays are ruined. (for me at least). My parents divorced when i was three and after that, it kind of seperated all of us kids too. they share custody evenly, and they are both a**holes so, like if it is mothers day, and I'm at my dads, he wont let me see her, and so on. Also, on big things like Christmas, it seems like I only see half of my family so yea, it was, and still is our, and they ruin it.

I agree with the first comment made by AllStarMe, seems like just a funny song, but really just listen and read the lyrics. If you listen to Blink 182 alot you can see that alot of their songs sound funny, but they do have a purpose and a good message.

Think about it ; alot of people believe what they hear on the news, but if you do some reading and crap, you can see that the media is wrong quite a bit of the time. As you can see in the last election, alot of people made up their minds according to what they heard on the news. Bush seriously isn't as great as people make him out to be. Read "Dude, Where's My Country?" By Michael Moore. Just do it.

Blink has always been my favorite band, and yes I do know what 4/4 time is, and why do you think that everything has to be in 4/4 time? Didn't anyone tell you that time signatures can change in the middle of a song? Plus a LOT of punk-rock (and rap for the record) doesn't use time signatures much. C'mon, don't stereo-type people by what music they listen to. |
