I dont think this is a cover but hey who knows....my opinion on this song is that its kinda direct....one person in the relationship wants to just be free from the world and stress and chaos...while the other is letting things hold them back...the "watch the world die" part, is talking about how the further you swim away from the shore the smaller it gets it fades away or "dies" |

no its not about Andrew Wood...Eddie didnt know him but he sang on his tribute "temple of the dog" Ed was new in Seatle when Andrew died....and this song is about Layne....all these newere bands try to copy Laynes voice...cough cough Godsmack...alot of them try to copy Eddie Vedders voice and Kurt Cobains and Chris Cornell...they all had/have great voices and everyone wants to sound just like them but they cant |

Hey I am trying to find out how to get the MTV Unplugged version of Nirvana....not the cd but the actual show. I dont know if they have it on dvd or vhs or whatever....but i really want to see it does anyone know how i could get it...do they even have it to buy? Or is there anyway i could watch it? If anyone could give me some info about this i'd really apreciate it alot....thanks |

ok the whole manic depresion things sounds good and the "lithium" idea...but i have a different take on it so dont yell and bitch at me for it please....i know ever Nirvana song isnt about drug use....but there where a few and i think this was one...whether you want to admit it or not kurt was a user...and addiction consumers people lives....jobs, relationships, health and yes maybe even song writing....but anyways heres what i think....hes talking about finding something that brings him peace and happiness in the first line...(im so happy....) the second line hes saying that he knows its bad but he dosnt care because he dosnt care about hiself and has no self esteem allready....( im so ugly but thats ok.......) then he talks about how heroine is his god and its all he needs....( sunday morning is everday for all i care.....) and then when he says "light my candles in a daze cause i found god" cmon isnt that line obvious...why else would you be in a daze because you found god....the rest of the song could be talking about an insane person or a withdrawing person...oh and if you dont believe me...read the come as you are biography....it talks about this song comparing religion to drug use....it says "religion is the opiate of the masses" its pretty much like you have probalems and you find religion to make it better but its not really better just hidden....same with drugs except drugs make it worse |

well other than that i pretty much agree with dani filth...but he was really famous allready...when an ordinary person dies they dont become famous....but more famous....most people dont want to admit it but Nirvana was a great band...a legend alive and more of a legend dead sadly enough... |

ok lets get something clear....if Kurt Cobain didnt die we would still know who he is definetly....he was famous before he died like it or not...Nirvana was allready huge...but yes the fact that he died made them even bigger....well alot bigger...im guessing if he didnt die they would be about as popular as Pearl Jam right now...well thats what i think |

wow why is it that in the Slipknot forums or whatever you wanna call it...theres just a bunch of kids fighting over whats hardcore and whats poser and whats not....slipknot kick ass like it or not...Joey is an amazing drummer and Corey is an amazing vocalist the band colaborates well...oh and to me this song dosnt have alot of meaning just a really cool twisted sounding intro to a great album |

this is an amazing mysterious song...i know everyone has an opinon so dont freak out on me but the way i see it...he wrote the familly and told them he was coming home but he died before he made it....the familly was on the porch waiting for him and instead of him coming home they get a telegram saying he is dead....but thats how i see it probably wrong |

powerchords rock, do you know anything about guitar at all? Your username is "powerchords rock" yet you say Kurt sucked at guitar all he played basically was power chords...hmmm who woulda thought...oh and to everyone who thinks kurt sucked...he came up with simple but catchy songs on the guitar and they sounded great. Just because he couldnt do super fast solos didnt mean he sucked...i get tired of hearing that 10 minute soloing shit... |
