I agree this is definetley about the bands failure to get mainstream exposure despite being one of the best bands of the past several years. Also I see it as a song about rejection. I shall miss you Grandaddy you are a tremendous band and have made several great songs. |

the version on the OC was Fog (again) a live version with just thom on the piano. Its terrific. As for the song it just seems to me that the narrator is growing up very fast into somebody much different and not as good. fog is charles dickens' go to symbol for people's pasts making their present relations murky. This is a hauntingly beautiful song and I wish they'd record it. However they never play it live and have no plans for recording which is very sad. |

This is one of the best new songs. I heard this in Toronto and I was simply captivated. If this is not on the new album i will be depressed. Not too sure what its about yet. hoping more people will share insight. All i can say is. This is your warrrrnnnnnning fouurrrr minnuuutttee warrrrrrrrrning. |

. This is such an amazing song. I think this is about phonies and fakes. Also about people who will give anything for a dollar. I think the line "I'll go to college and i'll learn some big words and I'll talk real loud goddamn right i'll be heard, you'll remember that guy who said all them big words he must've learned in college". Is about how you will only be respected if you're an educated person. Isaac didn't graduate from highschool but he is sure more knowledgeable than many people. The last line is my favourite "And it took a long time, but I came clean with myself I come clean out of love for my lover I still love her, loved her more when she used to be sober And I was kinder" To me it means how in relationships people are abused and lie for good reasons. Also i love the irony how he comes clean out of love but when she's not sober. |

What a tremendous song, had the oppurtunity of hearing it live in toronto. This new album is shaping up to be another masterpiece, I CAN'T WAIT! New lyrics added after the lyrics "this is my way of saying goodbye because i can't do it face to face" at a recent show this line was added "i'm talkin to you but it's too late, from my videotape" |

| I think this song is about growing up. Almost losing his innocence and taking that final step into adulthood(final push to the sum). The repetition of what have I become has so much emotion it signals to me that he is not where he desired to be or planned to be. | |

It is definetley whales. Anyways its glad to see an emergence in talented Canadian bands. This is a wonderful album. As for the meaning I think it is just talking about the little arguments that people break up over. Its happened to him, Hence grounds for divorce and then he sees happy couples and wishes that was him. |
