I don't think this song is about God at all. I think the reference may have been briefly to describe clarity on the narrator's part... you can tell the narrator is frustrated and needed to let out pent up feelings from "years and years". In terms of my interpretation, I think (for the majority of the song) the person is singing to their ex who may be trying to come back into their life. The relationship or breakup may have been damaging and they're confronting their ex and their problems: "I've been calling for years and years and years and years And you never left me no messages You never send me no letters You've got some kind of nerve Taking all I'm worth" |

Hawthorne heights is okay as a band... not great or anything. Their songs all sound the same or don't have anything that's really that appealing about them. I can't really put my finger on it... I think Ohio is for Lovers is different than all their other songs, probably because it was a single. I relate to this song on a bunch of levels but it's really cool cause I live in cleveland, haha. I'm thinking it's basically about a girl who's fucking with a guy and sending him mixed signals... they were probably seeing eachother then broke up and may be getting back together? It's about the torture she puts him through. I definately just saw these boys at the Grog shop with A Static Lullaby. a girl I know grabbed the singers balls (weird, I know) |

I think this song's about unfinished business. When the guy moved away him and a girl were fighting and never had a chance to fix things before he left. Now he realizes he still loves her and everything reminds him of her "all the corners of the street signs.. they remind me of the pickup truck out in front of your neighbor's house" |

I think this song doesn't have the most specific meaning. I take it that it has to do with one of the bandmate's relationships and the ups and downs within it "Oh, my tongue's the only muscle on my body that works harder than my heart" -- Maybe he cheated on her in the past? or maybe it's more of a lust relationship "We're concentrating on falling apart We were contenders, now we're throwing the fight I just wanna believe... in us" -- when the song was written they were probably having problems Read through the lyrics, you'll understand what I'm talking about. <333 |
