Copeland – Chin Up Lyrics 16 years ago
This is brilliant. I think jeffyzai is on track here, but I don't think it's *just* about college - there's multiple meanings here. I think when Aaron penned this, it may about being on tour. How they come home after it all and everything has moved on and changed without them there, and how different it feels.

It really is about keeping your 'image', about how you come across to people even if it means sometimes compromising who you are as a person - all just to fit in.

Copeland – Black Hole Sun (Soundgarden cover) Lyrics 16 years ago
I thought this came across pretty well. Aaron's voice is very unique, but has a different, much more gritty edge in this cover, especially when mixed with the guitar-work.

Pete Murray – No More Lyrics 17 years ago
It may not even be about a man abusing a woman; it could be very much a woman emotionally damaging a man. "Did you ever see the bruise you used to leave," because sometimes people leave bruises and scars you can't see, that you won't see; that they hide.

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Death of a Martian Lyrics 18 years ago
The 'outro' is insanely incoherent, but I think it somehow relates to the incoherency-of-thought you sometimes go through when someone or something (in this case, Flea's dog, Martian) passes. Everything becomes jumbled up and muddled.

Red Hot Chili Peppers – So Much I Lyrics 18 years ago
Intensely awesome song; undergoes a huge change of pace after the first two verses. Lyrics here are totally off, though. Complete me, defeat me are right, but there's also 'deplete me', and a few lines in the last 45s of the song have been omitted.

Foo Fighters – Still Lyrics 18 years ago
"Still" should be the first track on the acoustic disc; I have the DVD-edition, and that's how it's listed.

Silverchair – Emotion Sickness Lyrics 19 years ago
The instrumentals in this song are truly awesome; the lyrical content isn't something I can really identify a lot with, but I love the song all the same. Depression is, by far, a dangerous thing.

Silverchair – Learn To Hate Lyrics 19 years ago
Definitely about a guy (duh), liking a girl, but f--king hating the guy who she is with, and every embodiment of him.

Silverchair – Tomorrow Lyrics 19 years ago
It's actually about the Newcastle water crisis.

Silverchair – Miss You Love Lyrics 19 years ago
I'd just had this song on repeat for the last ten minutes. It's 12:30am, and I could listen to it all night.

One of the most moving songs from Silverchair. To me, it seems like he's struggling to love someone who truly loves him;

"I love the you love
But I hate the way
I'm supposed to love you back
It's just a fad "

It is as if he struggles to find the real meaning of love and express it towards her.

Grinspoon – Hate Lyrics 19 years ago
Simply put, to me, it's about trying to hate a girl but struggling to really feel like that no matter how she acts or what she does.

The Living End – Pictures In The Mirror Lyrics 19 years ago
For me, the song seems to talk about a girl who's too blind to her own image and what others think about her, before finding out and realising her mistakes.
