I love the fact that this song could maybe, maybe have brought situation to light like LadyMage said. I don't know why but it kind of reminds me of Mein Teil just a little, maybe the structure of the song. They did a great job on this one. |

This is a stupid opinion, and it probably doesn't even make sense, but I thought it could have been about a boy giving up relationships to get closer to God (when I heard of Last Train Home, for some reason, I thought of Heaven). I actually thought lostprophets was a Christian band, once upon a time. :) |

I agree, sort of. It's about someone who's absolutely obsessed with someone else, perhaps making them out to be more than they actually are. But then, judging by the chorus, that "someone else" is totally ignorant to the obsession. By the time he sings "Now that you know I'm trapped", the person has found out and tries to keep him "addicted" for their own amusement. complicated, but that's really what I think it's about. On a personal level, yes, you CAN relate to this song. It's pretty much about being fickle, I guess. |

This is the only good and meaningful song on their CD, the rest of their songs just fly by hurriedly. I love the lyrics of this one. It reminds me a little of something written by Brand New. Sex music? Not really, maybe angsting music. :) |

This version and the Fallen version are both amazing (I still like this one a LOT better) in really, really different ways. This one's a little more eerie and "black-and-white"; the part in the middle with no lyrics is strangely sexy, and then the Fallen version is more tense. But these are only opinions taken from a personal level. |

The saddest part of this song is the fact that you can hardly hear the best lyrics: but the body on the bed beckons forward and he starts growing up
"up the stairs the station where the act becomes the art of growing up"
...it's the "growing up" that gets me on this one...this song leaves you breathless, eh? |

i LOVE how the line "And I've seen what happens to the wicked and proud when they decided to try to take on the throne for the crown" builds into the chorus "and we learn, as we age, we've learned nothing, and my body still aches..."
-The chorus is FANTASTIC- ...but the beginning of the song is better than the end. I don't like how they made the chorus sound a little different near the end. |

I would have thought that more people would explore this song on a personal level - every single verse in this song is SO comparable with one particular real-life situation of mine that this song made me cry the first time I heard it, especially when Jesse sings "Wish I knew..." and the music changes. It was like they made it for me - and I'm sure a TON of people feel that way too. This is the very best one. |

"I'm burning like a bridge for your body..." Yeah I agree about that line being sexy - this opening is AMAZING. The best part of it is the repitition of the verses right after the part where the verses are whispered (spoken for the first time in the song). |
