he dated a chick and after a while he did something to upset her that led to them breaking up. Shortly after, he realized "i made a mistake, wish i could take back everything that i did" but by the time he realized he made the mistake it was almost to late for the girl to forget about his mistake and love him again because she wasnt ready yet therefore he says he dosent realy care how long it takes (i would wait forever).....fyi i heard from shane himself after a concert that the title/chorus was named red light pledge because on a way to a band practice he put the song together on paper at stoplights. |
