So, because it annoys me to death that people put this song as the theme at graduations and proms, I'm going to give you the interpretation of each line separately, and then you can say how you love this song and it reminds you of memories "So denied, so I lied, are you the now or never kind?" This is the beginning, the one night stand still hasn't taken place and he's asking her if she's willing to do it with him because they won't ever get this chance again. "In a day, and a day love, I'm gonna be gone for good again" He's telling this girl to take the chance... because he's not going to be there much longer. "Are you willing to be had, are you cool with just tonight?" Must I even explain this? He's making sure she's okay with it. "be had"... how do you get memories out of that? "Here's a toast to all those who hear me all too well" Now he's toasting everyone else who takes part in one night stands. "Here's to the nights we felt alive" This is just how awesome one night stands feel while they're happening... they make you feel alive, just like he says. "Here's to the tears you knew you'd cry" During a one night stand you feel alive, but deep down there's the feeling that this is "it"... it's a sobering revelation that brings tears to ones eyes when the act is finally over. "Here's to goodbye, tomorrow's gonna come too soon" They both don't want to say goodbye, but it's acknowledged that it's going to happen. "Put your name on the line along with place and time" Now we're catching a glimpse of haw many girls he's had... so many that there's basically a list so he remember all of them. "Wanna stay not to go I wanna ditch the logical" He's really wishing he could stay... but logically he has to leave, so he really just wants to say "fuck logic". "All my time is froze in motion" So you can't really be froze in motion... here is the basic description, because it's all in a feeling... He knows time is passing, but it feels like it's not, like the world has stopped for this one act, this one night. "Can't I stay an hour or two or more" Begging to stay, because leaving always hurts so much. "Don't let me let you go" Begging her not to let it end, he's left girls before and wants this to be different even though he know it can't be. | I'm talking about you dissing me, that's what. You can't go around shutting people down and then expecting back up. Honestly, I love Amy Lee's voice, but I love the male vocals in this song, especially the fact that the guy is from 12 stones, which is one of the best bands ever. I'm willing to bet you come on this website just to get a certain thrill from fighting with others about stupid things, like whether or not a band that's already pretty good needs to improve. This website is for us to talk about what we think of the songs, not what we think of other people. Snow White was just saying what she thought. And in some ways she's right.
