Jon Brion – Knock Yourself Out Lyrics 20 years ago
Yeah, this song reminded me a lot of Elliot Smith too.

Electric Light Orchestra – Down Home Town Lyrics 21 years ago
What does it mean to "grow a third eyebrow"? I have tried to come up with a reasonable explaination for it, I have looked at books of expressions and cliches, I have tried contacting Jeff Lynne, I have asked all of my friends. It's really bothering me. Is even a real figrue of speech, or something ELO came up with, If you could tell me what that means, I would greatly appreciate it.

Electric Light Orchestra – Rockaria! Lyrics 21 years ago
I don't know if it's a bad edit, or if it supposed to be there, but if you listen in the very beggining, the singer starts too soon and then goes 'oops' and then starts on cue. At least that's what it sounds like to me.

Pink Floyd – Breathe Lyrics 21 years ago
A thing I noticed which baffled me is, he sings "It's time to dig another one" But in the leaflet that comes with the album, it says the lyric is "It's time to start another one." I don't know if this either a typo on the lyrics booklet, or if they changed the lyrics after the leaflets had been printed. If someone knows the answer as to why it is like this, I would like to know please.

Pink Floyd – Mother Lyrics 21 years ago
I believe it means that Pink's mother has blocked out almost all things socially that normal people experience, to protect him. But because she was so over protective, she blocked out so much that he was too vulnerable, so he had to build it higher, and this cycle continues until he finally loses it in "The Trial." that's my interpretation..

Pink Floyd – Money Lyrics 21 years ago
Ok, for anyone who hates that sax solo, I'll let you know if it weren't for that sax solo, there would be no buildup to the 4/4 section. The sax is an awesome instrument, and that solo is perfect for this song. And I always thought that when he said football, he was talking about what us Americans call soccer. After all isn't soccer the big sport overseas? I would expect those teams to be owned like football teams in America.
