fuck. what ruins this song and most of the songs in relapse is that eminem is using something to modify his voice. i think it might be the same thing kanye west used in his latest album. the thing he used is something called the auto tune which is used to tune a voice to a perfect pitch. it just doesnt work for eminems rapping because he ends up sounding like a robot... its depressing. just listen to any song of the marshall mathers lp and this song. the style of rapping hasnt really changed all that much. its still a fast delivery. the difference is that it just ends up sound cold and robotic instead of warm and human. fuck it pisses me off because i like eminems music. the marshall mathers lp, slim shady lp, and even the eminem show were great albums. what happened? almost makes me think that eminem damaged his voice or damaged his brain with all the drugs hes taken or something happened that doesnt let him rap like he did before...damn. |

This song is different from any other motorhead song. It is interesting because lemmy still makes it sound like a motorhead song. It sounds like a ballad but it has a different element, it means something. It isn't just about a woman or anything in that matter. It is about a deeper subject that is worth listening. The song is about the reality of wars and how many, like the name is andy stated, bought into the propaganda they were given not realizing what was going on in the background. They weren't going to be heroes. They were pans in a battle that wasn't theirs. Truth hurts. |

It's good to see people arguing about politics in a songmeanings site. Talking about how this song is related to all this. They should name this come over and discuss songmeanings while we argue site.
The truth basically comes down to one thing, if you see it. Unless you see it ,it is just words. That's all it is, words. Nothing more. You can't always believe what you hear because some things don't always seem how they are told. If you haven't seen it and your only told about it comes down to - do you know that person well enough to trust their story. This is where politics comes in. You can't know anything unless you have been there and expirienced it.
I'll admit I don't trust Bush's judgement but I did except it because it comes down to, will this serve a greater purpose in the future? Don't know will just have to see how things play out since Bush already had his way. |

This song is about the gift of feeling old. The feeling of your days being numbered while you wait to die. It's a point in one's life when one questions whether the future will bring anything worth waiting for. |
