I think he wrote this while under the influence of a drug, Looking at the window and seeing that the blinds weren't letting the sun in, and the fact the the drugs he was on made it hard to even get up and move, hence he needed to change his ways.. |

Its a folklore song about a train driver named Casey Jones, who caused a terriable train wreck due to not changing his flags or something, i think there was a rumour he was on cocaine not sure, tho, i didn't write the song, just my theory. |

the unedited version of this song is way better, i feel its what shannon hoon really wanted to sing about, in the unedited version he sings "all that i can say is that the velvet underground is great, when im sitting watching puddles gather rain" it sounds like its about drugs more then a girl, but maybe the edited version is about a girl, who knows.. |

ok, god forbit a band makes it big, who cares that millions of people know who dashboard is? just aslong as the god forsaken radio stations don't play him 24/7 i think you all should just sit back and let them enjoy their success. dashboard rule and i hope they do make it big, and i hope they end up like pearljam an extremely popular group that rarely gets any radio time or tv music video time.

this is a great song, i don't really know what it all means but i listen to it after smoking a big joint and it almost sounds like hes glad to be home on a summer day with his lady. i don't know if thats what it actually means, could just be the fact i'm on drugs as i'm typing this i dunno. |
