Holy crap, this is the best blood brothers song. It's absolutely amazing, the lyrics and the instruments. It emulates everything that life is. Everyone has these flash backs to when they were young and made these promises to be "best friends forever" and so on. Fucking brilliant.

I think it would be pretty closed minded to only think of this song as someone losing their innocense. Personally I think this song is a satire of a pop song. It's the most catchy song on the album, and it talks about how someone has an "album the color of piss". I think Johnny Whitney is clearly making fun of the young popstar divas. The music industry is basically raping them of their youth.

I think that Jesse was extremely creative with this song title. Yes it might be about his grandfather with Cancer, and yes Guernica is a painting, but Guernica is also about a massacre that occured in Guernica, Spain in the 1940's, so he is basically relating cancer as a massacre of the body. Beautiful. |
