I think that this song best represents the mantality of the album : The war that we are all fighting. In For the workforce drowning: The fight to live the way you want, and not being a slave to the work force Between rapture and Rupture : The fight to save the fallen ones around us from there own demise This album in my eyes, is a concept of the struggles we all go through, and how they shape us as individuals Division st. : The fight for equality, and how "Lights out" would mean no identity Signals over the air : The fight for gender equality, and acceptance of all actions |

clearly about how gender roles destroy the true person in us all. Like how men are supposed to be emotionless, sex loving maniacs, who could never truly love someone (They stole the love from our lives and put the sex on the radio) and how constricting these genders roles are (is this how it feels when you don't even fit into your own skin and it's getting tighter everyday and i'm getting smaller. ) So, basically the idea is that gender roles break down the real person |

| Radiohead – The Tourist Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| with this song, I always get a reallly spacy feeling, like that I'm driving in the western planes of America, with nothing but space in all directions, and I just stop, step out of the car, and just savor the moment (Hey man, slow down) like that I"M enjoying where I am not where I'm going to, as not to waste the precious time we have on this planet | |

| Radiohead – Let Down Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| this song, out of all the radiohead songs, probably means the most to me, because it's pertained to so much in my life. It just makes me think that everything around me is running me into the ground, to change me into a boring old man, like the transports motorways and tramlines drive all the workers to a life of checking in and out, leaving nothing behind but a cold dead body. The entire album I think doesn't have to do with how computers are running our lives, but how our own techonology is taking away our right to make a mark in history, drowning us in hours of tv of car commercials, and internet chatrooms, and subways driving our decaying corpses to tall buildings where thousands of others just like you are slowly killing themselves. well.......I guess I kinda went off on a limb there, sorry | |
| Radiohead – Exit Music (For a Film) Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| I was just watching the movie unfaithful the other day, and suddenly, in one of the scenes, I realized that the piano player was playing the melody to Exit music(for a film), and I was baffled. It really fit too. so not only is it on romeo and juliet, but on unfaithful as well | |
| Thursday – Standing On The Edge Of Summer Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| Personally, I think this song is about just as the title says: Standing on the Edge of Summer. Its about looking back at the year before you, and thinking of what you did wrong. In the the 2nd verse, " Riding in your car, missed the stop sign fall in love", I think that "your car" represents his commitment to a relationship, "Missing the stop sign", he took his feelings for someone else too far, and then fell in love, just to get knocked down. Plus, just listen to the melody of the song, it sounds like summer....It all works together. | |

"I came to America and was told that the streets of America were paved with gold. Well, when I got here, 1. The roads weren't paved with gold, 2. The roads weren't paved at all, and 3. I had to pave them!" -Italian proverb This song really reminds me of that quote |

This is the new sound Just like the old sound Just like the noose wound Over the new ground In other words, history WILL repeat itself just as droutkast said. This war with Iraq just might be the breaking point, it's coming, just know when it is. We ned to realize that we really can't just sit here and be bossed around, we HAVE TO STAND UP! We can't let down or they have won. They want us to lie down, and take the punches, because they need the money. Money is our enemy, not Iraq, and as soon as the American people realize this, it will have already have been too late. |

| A Perfect Circle – Thinking Of You Lyrics | 23 years ago |

I personally think this song is about walking in your spouse cheating on you. "Unmistakeable noise I was hearing." He could hear something unusual in the house "Unmistakeable sound I know so well" I think everyone knows that sound "Spent and sweating with a look in your eye" He walks in and sees her sweating with fear "Spent and sweating with a look on your face like....Sweet revelation" Revelation means realizing, so he realizes whats been going on all along |

| this song's gotta be about his father's high expectations. song is definitely kick ass, i can't think of another song that gets me as pumped. | |
| A Perfect Circle – Magdalena Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| This song to me is just being completely dumbfounded by sexual prowess from someone else. being completely taken over by your libido within those moments. Maynard is just comparing it to Magdelena, the prositute from the bible, and comparing it to a stripper as well. | |

Everytime I listen to this song, it reminds me of just why I am down all the time. Because I've tried before to open myself up to people but since usually(most likely a girl) doesnt understand and therefore becomes apathetic towards me. It reminds me of that feeling you get when you love someone so much and they just shut you out because they dont konw how to react to emotion. I love in the song when the guitar goes into those cool 7th chords, and brian sings"Oooooohhh" really coollike. It gives me chills everytime I listen to it. |

Ok what I am about to write is just what I think. It isnt right, just as noone elses interpretations are right, but neither are they wrong. they are what they mean to you. Ok my belief is that this song is about being in love with someone. You love this person but they hurt you, and they are aware that they hurt you, they use your weakness to there advantage, they abuse you. They push and shove you at there convenience. You only are with them because what they do to you may hurt you, but it secures you and they feed on this. They konw you wont leave because you love them too much and are too comfortable in the relationship. The only thing the abuser is willing to give you is sex, to satisfy you. But soon this whole ordeal becomes akward, and then annoying, and person has pushed you to the brim: "Put me somewhere I don't wanna be Seeing someplace I don't wanna see Never wanna see that place again " then you realize that this person is only going to tear you apart, so you push yourself away from them, and everyone else: "Saw that gap again today As you were begging me to stay Managed to push myself away, And you, as well my dear" Then you explain to the person why you feel that this whole relationship is abusive to you: "If, when I say I may fade like a sigh if I stay, You minimize my movement anyway, I must persuade you another way There's no love in fear " "Staring down the hole again Hands upon my back again Survival is my only friend Terrified of what may come Just remember I will always love you, Even as I tear your fucking throat away But it will end no other way" Now the fear comes into play, you want to leave, but shes pulling you in" Hands upon my back again, and terrified of what may come" Then the last lines, he breaks from the fear and ends the abusive relationship. |

Ive always taken this song about a man who was left by his girl after she sucked all the life out of him. He goes insane and she doesnt expect him to take her departure so badly, Hense: "Hope this is what you wanted. Hope this is what you had in mind. Cuz this is what you're getting. I hope you're choking. I hope you choke on this." Her leaving him turned him into a depressed man, she's drained him of his soul, and has sucked him dry. |

This song, to me, is coming from the point of view of a once follower of a so called martyr. In the beginning with the lines" He had a lot to say, he had a lot nothing to say, We'll miss him", he's saying how this martyr was a man with great words, but now realizes how much of a fool he was. Also with lines like: "Standing above the crowd, He had a voice so strong and loud and I Swallowed his façade 'cause I'm so Eager to identify with Someone above the ground, Someone who seemed to feel the same, Someone prepared to lead the way, with Someone who would die for me Will you? Will you now? Would you die for me? Don't you fucking lie " The follower explains how he was looking for someone to lead him, to guide him, how he wanted someone to look up to, someone who would die for what he believed. But then he realizes that this martyr, at the face of death, refuses to die out of fear, which turns the follower's hopes upside down. Then it ends with: "Come down Get off your fucking cross We need the fucking space to nail the next fool martyr To ascend you must die You must be crucified For our sins and our lies Goodbye..." Through hatred, at the end, the followers of this martyr kill the man they looked up to. This is just my belief on what the song means. It may vary from person to person though. |
