Personally I think this song is a masterpiece and 36 Crazyfists has the best new material I have heard in a long time. Well anyways on to my evaluation of the song...I think that most of you have the basic idea of the song...I think that the part "With the color of hearts it seems like you wear right thin" means that he is adressing someone and saying "Even though you look so nice and loving, you really are cruel and cold-hearted. I agree that the lyric With the absence of eye I can start to bleed again means that when no one pays attention to him or doesnt care about him that he "cuts" or harms himself in some way...I think that lace me up means to "heal me" or "hide my wounds" and I'm still looking for these angels in the snow means "I'm still looking for something positive in life or looking for hope as much of you say...the other weird part of the song I have an idea about is the "braided conversation"...I think that this means that "everything that the people surrounding him said to him, kind of intertwined and hurt him or made him depressed...I think the rest of the song is pretty understandable but I do not get "And as it falls from your mouth, it seems like you needed it more" |

| Linkin Park – Step Up Lyrics

This is another song that is similar to High Voltage...except that in Step Up Mike goes into detail about emcees and lyricists. In this song Mike tells about how you cant just rhyme without talent and expect to be called an artist. In the lyrics "And rapping over rock doesn’t make you a pioneer Cause rock and hip hop have collaborated for years" he explains how rap rock isnt new...its more like an evolution. I think really the main point is that if you dont have the skills to be a real emcee or artist then back off...but if you have what it takes then "Step Up" to the mic. |

| Linkin Park – High Voltage (Remix) Lyrics

Mainly I think that the song is mainly about Linkin Park's style and how no one can replicate it. I also think they illustrate bands that copy other bands with the lyric: "I put a kink in the backbones of clones with microphones." I think that the use the lyric "the unforgettable sound" to say that their music is unique. Also it seems as if when Mike Shinoda sings in this song he sings with such clever and odd lyrics that he automatically proves that no one goes on the same level as he does. I think this song is a whimsical rhyming masterpiece. |
