This song is bloody great, 'specially live cause you get to shout... 'GET UP! GET UP!' etc etc.. :P To be honest I'm not too sure what the lyrics mean tho.. maybe something about a person living this uniform life, doing exactly what's expected of him, like a soldier conforms in an army, but then one day the person decides he wants to get his own life and try things for himself but people around him aren't having it & try to tell him what's good for him, but he doesn't listen & goes off anyway, and now he's looking back realising he probably should have listened more when 'they gave the price' cause he's not finding anything as good as he'd expected....and he regrets his decsion... or maybe he's glad? Meh.. I'm probably completely wrong here.... it's a good song whatever it means! :$ *ssshes herself* |

Dysfunctional marriage? Bit extreme.. either up or down but no inbetween.. 'we fuck and we fight, someone else does the dishes' Or maybe it's just a really cynical outlook on marriage, like how at first everything seems so great because the couple are too blissfully naive & idealistic to realise nothing lasts for ever. *shrugs* I dunno. Good song anyway. Love the bleeding heart part. |

Heh.. I used to love this song :) Think this was the 2nd song I heard after hearing one of neve's songs on the Faculty OST (It's Over Now? Can't rememnber...) Think these lyrics are pretty straightforward... not being afraid to try new things, making the most out of life, accepting things instead of worrying about them & enjoying your life... yada yada.. pretty positive song. |

Everything he considers to be perfect in today's world lies in this one girl who he is completely infatuated with. He wants to be able to consider himself perfect too, but it's never gunna happen. This girl is way out of his league, perfect in his eyes, and 'special'... but is she really? Probably not, but he is so hung up on his own insecurites & self pity he is left blind to any blemishes in her character. This song is a cry for love & acceptance. Of course what he probably doesn't realise is that unless he starts being happy with who he is he's never gunna find acceptance, because he's never gunna accept himself. |
