just because the person in the song is looking for shit on the beach and playing a violin on the street doesn't mean their homeless. he's talking about just barely scraping by and living a rough life, spending his time lying on the floor and not having very much. but at the same time he's getting by not having to have things or do much else. yeah, that's punk rock. |

i don't think the song is really about being cool is school. it's about how being not cool is cooler than being cool. how even though we don't rock the clothes or sopy the stance, we're beyond that and we're totally way better.
the live version of this song gives me chills. i would love love love to see the deftones live, but since they're touring with numetal bands, i think i'm going to pass. shame shame. |
