It seems many of Morrissey's fans have always struggled with the singer's ambivalence and ambiguity. Many people seem to project their own sensibilities to wallpaper over any gray areas. Don't you ever go back-and-forth in your mind about certain important issues? Do you have any conflicting, unresolved feelings or beliefs? Is everything so neat and orderly within your world, that every thought you have fits within an internally consistent ideology? We are all confused in one way or another. The truth is, this song tells a story that leaves room for interpretation. Obviously there is a massive unresolved conflict among the English people right now, that has been building for decades. Watch the new Trainspotting sequel, because they also deal with this topic of immigration, identity, nationalism. It's not as simple as good and evil, black and white. These are complex issues. And Morrissey has waded into these waters every now and then. Read the lyrics to another song on the same album, "We'll Let You Know": "We may seem cold, or We may even be The most depressing people you've ever known At heart, what's left, we sadly know That we are the last truly British people you'll ever know" Yeah, that's right. Many English folk feel existential angst at the thought of England slipping away. Morrissey seems to both mock this idea and sympathize with it, never really declaring his final analysis. It's almost like he's a highly intelligent guy, who can weigh the merits of both sides of an argument without being fully persuaded one way or the other. |

| Dave Gahan – Saw Something Lyrics | 8 years ago |

"After the storm had passed I wondered how long The break in the clouds would last" and "You and I have come so far We've reached beyond the farthest star Time and time and time again I want you back, you were a friend We can't pretend" I think that song was dedicated to Alan. Dave is kinda transparent person and always made clear that he misses his former bandmate. |

| George Harrison – Who Can See It Lyrics | 8 years ago |
| The song meaning of this, or the reason behind the song, is because he was pretty hurt by his friends the bullies Paul and John. They never saw his potential. He even says so, through those past years, i can see clearly now. He knew his potential once he was free solo to make his own music. It is indeed very sad and touching. Definitely my favorite beatle. | |

To me it's a song about growing up and leaving childhood behind: 'those endless days, sacred days you gave me' ..... 'I knew that pretty soon you'd leave me' ...... 'now I'm not frightened of this world, believe me'..... 'Days I'll remember all my life' |
