ive loved this song since the first time ive heard it.. i almost cry every time i hear it.. i cant believe.. that after using the phrase "and all that could have been" in so many of his songs, that he finally entitled a song that... but its so fitting! i love nin! |

i love how, when people proclaim that maynard is god, that others instantly attack them. haha i was one of those... you always analyze these songs.. have you thought that maybe people arent saying MAYNARD CAN RAISE PEOPLE FROM THE DEAD and that MAYNARD CAN TURN WATER INTO WINE that they are simply saying that maynard is very good at what he does? people always proclaim themselves to be gods of things. video games, sports and such... and all they mean is they're better then other people, perhaps the best. maybe maynard is the best at what he does.. writing music to move and inspire people? |

not a holy text? its maynard. maynard is god. thus, meaning anything maynard writes is holy :P
pertaining to the song... ive always been curious about the mention of white and black and yellow and red... and at another angle... those could be races... white (caucasian) and black (african) and yellow (asian) and red (native-american?). just my two cents... could be something like as he grows he sees different types of people? oh well. my two cents was never really worth much lol |
