The Ataris – Bad Case Of Broken Heart Lyrics 24 years ago
the first line to the chorus of this song is the greatest...it's something like a break-out, quickly said and 'to the point.'

The Promise Ring – A Broken Tenor Lyrics 24 years ago
The Promise Ring is the most lyrically clever band I've ever heard. You can't possibly beat "your hair knows the top of your T-shirt and your back was up in arms about it."

Saves the Day – This Is Not An Exit Lyrics 24 years ago
"Just sail belly up to the clouds, the rocks scraping your back. To breathe in the air will be the only thing that you have.." When he breaks into the chorus it's amazing. I don't know exactly what he's going for but I can only picture two people floating on the shoreline of a beach or bay, and life is as simple as that, floating in the water and breathing.

Saves the Day – Freakish Lyrics 24 years ago
I've never been in a relationship, so maybe I'm not feeling the full force of the lyrics, but that doesn't stop me from thinking this song is awesome. "I'll make my way across the frozen sea, beyond the blank horizon, where I can forget "you and me" and get a decent night's sleep." I guess lyrics that are clever and have meaning make the song more than just a song.

The Get Up Kids – The Company Dime Lyrics 24 years ago
Can't say this song means anything to me, can't say I even know what he's singing about...but I love the line "Anonymous until the ending, spent a long long time pretending".....such a good cd

good song....."It's colder than it ought to be in march" something about that seems so "real"

The Get Up Kids – My Apology Lyrics 24 years ago
I really like this song, my favorite on "Something to Write Home About"..."Sing a long long-winded song. I would be content to hum along." I like that line...it doesn't mean anything to me, I just find it "lyrically clever"
