| Avril Lavigne – Sk8er Boi Lyrics | 23 years ago |

hi, im one of your typical hardcore scenester girls, the kind that you'd think would beat up avril lavigne. im on my friends name so dont bother being pissed at her if i offend you. avril lavigne isnt punk, neither is her music. its pop. pop = popular sound. and her poppy, yet catchy, yes, catchy even to me, songs aren't ever going to be punk no matter how much you debate it. also, i like Britney Spears' lyrics better than avril lavigne. Hell, i like britney better than avril anyday. at least britney spears didn't say she was something shes not, and she didnt say her music was something else. and she has a good voice. my interpretation of avril lavigne songs "wah wah wah im whiny i have the voice of a 12 year old and im going to complain about how people discriminate against punks cause im so punk cause i stand on cars and I play guitar really softly and badly and i wear a tie with a wifebeater instead of the proper way to wear a tie, and i dress like an idiot. I think im cool because I skateboard when in actuality a lot of people can skateboard, and i have pros teach me how cause im popular and have lots of money now that i play for a bunch of prepubescent kids who buy clothes, that they could make on their own, out of teen magazines for $50 or more bucks. i made wearing ties fashionable, and make the original kids who wore ties look like fans of mine when they most certainly arent." that, by the way, pisses me off. I can't wear my ties anymore without someone talking about Avril Lavigne and I HATE IT. ugh. FUCK YOUR MUSIC FASHION. |

| The Get Up Kids – Red Letter Day Lyrics | 24 years ago |
| My favorite GetUp kids song.. ahh.. I think it is about a relationship and the "If it's a lie, I don't want to be the one who signed" could work for it because getting into a relationship is like signing a contract and he is saying if the relationships a lie, he doesnt want to be in it.. maybe? thats just my opinion. | |
