the great thing about this song is it can be viewed in so many different lights. the first meaning most people assimiliate with the song is about him losing a girl he was in love with. Someone earlier said it was about a girl getting fed up with the singer. when i first heard the song, i thought it was about the singer being in a relationship that started, went sour and she eventually was seeing someone else during their relationship. thus the lines "thought it was more than 'making love'" and "from knowing that you do to him, the same you did to me". i suppose it's the same concept as the mona lisa, she's either frowning or smiling depending on your mindset looking at her. |
