First off, let me say, i appreciate Slipknot and Corey Taylor's musical contributions to the world. I've seen them live everytime they've been in my town and even chatted with them and recieved their signatures. I'm only saying this so people understand i'm not saying what i'm about to say out of anger, hatred, jealousy or anything of the liking. Corey Taylor, if you're out there, listen dude. Why don't you just end your life? If you think you're saving people with your messages, you're wrong. I do appreciate the attempt though. I don't think i've found even one of your lyrical pieces that does not include a reference to you hating your life. Now don't get me wrong, i am as secular as they come and i also realize the occurances in this world are not what was intended, but either put up, shut up, or terminate yourself. I realize this may make your so-called "maggots" (how fitting) upset but that will not deter me from my purpose with this. This song diminishes hope for people thriving to find an artist strictly devoid of materialism and capitalism. Please do not act as if you don't know what i mean. Corey Taylor, are you true, or are you as fake as the people you write about? |

This song, when listened to on headphones with your eyes closed, is absolutely phenominal. I do believe it is painting a picture though. Exactly what about? Who really knows? Maybe it's of a situation or an occurance in the writers life. It also seems peculiar "wood chairs surround me", what was this caused by? As well as "faceless crowd, surrounds me", not only is that the most pondering line of the entire piece, but also the most image causing. The joy of music, perhaps it's best left to the listener to decide? The instrumentation is beautiful, along with the lyrics. Great song. |
